Without any question, Richard Keogh has been our best performer and most consistant.

Sammy is up there but of late has given the ball away in the middle which will catch us out sooner rather than later.

The duke is solid up front and its a shame he doesnt have anyone up front on his wave length. You can see the runs he makes but sadly our midfield more often than not dont read it.

Thoughts?

Keogh and Juke are by far the better players, but I think the youngsters have been playing really well too

I agree with most of this, I'd swap Keogh and Thomas in the superb section though. I'd also give McDonald more time because he's hardly played. Bell, Sheff, Baker and O'Donovan I wouldn't give the time of day to, they've been utterly fucking useless

Macca i could..... god he frustrates me

Christie hhhmmmm on and off for me. Hes great getting down the line and then so many time delays his crosses, perhaps because the strikers not being up with play i suppose.
Baker is sub material all day long
McDonald i want to see, not sure whats going on there

Agree mostly here. I wouldnt class Murphy as decent though, but he's not been disappointing either. He's been what I expected really (I wasnt too pleased when we signed him but appreciate he's the best we can afford).

I have been quite impressed by Crainie this season. I was never too sure about him before this season, and thought ue was a little cocky / over rated, but he prior to him getting injured, him and Keough were solid for us, albeit with a few errors here and there but their entitled to the odd error aslng as they're not too costly.

Deegan id agree has been disappointing. After he came off the bench and got his goal, i though that was goin to be him back in the team making a name for himself, and making the midfield spot his. However for some reason it hasnt worked out, and if the rumours are true that he stormed out the ground when being subbed V Southampton, im afraid I dont particularly want players like that in our team. Its not like the decision to take him off wasnt justified.

Keogh for me. Gives 110% every game. Superb.

100% agree. this bloke never seems to put a foot wrong. Good with his feet, good passer, excellent defender and covers up a lot of other players mistakes, for that reason he is my best player so far.

Would say Christie looked good when he burst on to the scene, looks like he needs a rest now though, errors becoming more and more common.
And Clingan just looks as if he's waiting for January so he can ditch a sinking ship

Pretty much, though it's way to early to put McDonald in any of those categories.

Keogh looks like being our player of the season for me.

Christie has been unbelievable considering his first ever league game was first game of the season. He will play at the top level, I'm sure of it. Keogh is also quality and the most reliable player we've ever had as far as I remember.. Never gets booked, plays consistently well every game, never injured and arguably has the best workrate. Am I right in saying he has played the full 90mins in every single league game since joining us? Also think Hussey, Juke and Bigi are our top performers and Clingan is the very best we've got when on form.

I really like Keogh, he's got a tremendous attitude - just wish he could dispense with his dying swan dive that we see at least once a game!!
Hussey too has been very good in the games I've seen, apart from the Blackpool match, where he was left exposed by (I think) Bigi.....

No, it wasn't Gael who left him exposed, it was him pulling too narrow and not getting tight enough to Taylor-Fletcher who, frankly, taught him a lesson that night. ROD was playing LW and actually grafted well and offered good protection. I'm not sure if Gael was playing, but if he was, it was RCM.

And yes, Keogh has played every single minute of every game since signing for us. Pretty incredible. I remember when he signed someone telling me he was always doing extra fitness work on his own.

Keogh is player of the season by a mile for me. He was good last year, but this year he's really kicked on. Lukas is patchy of late but that's possibly the workload without much help or a rest-and his goalscoring record since Thorn took over is superb. Header against Cardiff was a real beauty. The cross coming for my other player of the season-Hussey. He had a bad patch after half-a-dozen games but has looked refreshed for the enforced break and better than ever now. I'm loving the way he's now starting to beat the opposing full-back with such regularity-he made 7.5m man Faubert look a right mug against West Ham, and his final ball is getting better and better.

Connor, Gael, and Cyrus have all revealed fantastic potential is flashes. I am concerned that we've been asking too much of them, and that is increased tenfold by being in a relegation battle. Cyrus clearly is in need of a rest now, but I don't want to lose Keogh's distribution from CB. We'll be calling him Der Kaiser at this rate the way he carries it out of defence :)

And for that reason we need to give him a long contract or he'll be gone in january or the summer aswell

Ben Turner's new 3 year contract hardly prolonged his stay at the club though, did it? Indeed he never played a game again for us after signing it. It's no guarantee that the owners won't cash in whenever they see fit.

Probably true. I'd say he's been disappointing entirely because as the one outfield signing you'd hope he'd push into the side far more regularly than he has.

I've certainly seen glimpses of quality so won't be writing him off just yet. Just felt he didn't merit being anything other than 'disappointing' so far.

Keogh for me by a country mile - has got all the attributes of a first class defender:

* excellent in the air
* brilliant blocks/tackles/interceptions
* box to box surges down the flank
* reads the game well
* inspirational
* must be captain soon

Juke a close second

Jutkiewicz, by a million miles our best player. 7 goals in a struggling team. Thats not to be sniffed at.

And im not just judging this on goals either his workrate is second to none. His positional play is improving with each game. His heading is now right up there. He is now beating his marker alot more.

I think keeping him this season will make the difference if we stay up or not. Thats how important he is to us and thats why i think he is head and shoulders above anything we currently have.

A class act the best we have by a long way.

Not being funny here but 3 players who have been superb and 8 players who have been decent? You do realise we are 2nd bottom in the table and have just 2 wins from 18 matches don't you.
