I find it hard to remember City having a better strike force than the one we have today. It's formidable, exciting, direct, aware and could fire us to promotion, something that just hasn't been on the distant horizon for a very long time. In fact it's strange to note that our last promotion was with Jimmy Hill...

Not wishing to be pedantic (as if.....), but didn't we always used to sing "Ferguson and Wallace"?

I guess it was an alphabetical sort of thing.

Hucks and Dion would get my vote. Of course they were playing at the top level as well. Wallace and Ferguson were before my time.

our current team cant be narrowed down to 2

its murphy,armstrong,obrien,kent for sure

lameires and fortune pipped in too, maddison and cole probably the best skill wise out of eevryone mentioned

all have and will continue to play their part, its the biggest strikeforce we have ever had and its brilliant!

Clarke and Wilson? McGoldrick on his own? Got to be Dublin and Huckerby though. Just don't like that he went to Villa.

This is what I'm taking about...the team as a strike force!

Roussel and Keane, at home anyway - they had a great instinctive understanding, and although Roussel didn't get as many goals as he should have, his flick-ons and awareness helped Keane a lot. I was appalled at Richardson's attempts to flog Cedric as a makeweight in the Hartson deal, Roussel gave his all for the shirt and has often stated his time at City was the best in his career.

I always liked Quinn and Rosario too, the latter assisted the former on many occasions with deft headed flick-ons and very accurate passes. I often thought Rosario would have made an excellent no.10-stroke-attacking midfielder.

No ifs or buts, no doubt at all , Fergie and wallce. The pair had a near telepathic understanding of each others game.

Bit before my time, therefore I can only comment on those I've seen play.

Going back a bit George Hudson and Ken Hale was a good partnership.Had to mention the Hud though as he's still the best striker for me .

Looking at it in terms of seasons (in my lifetime), 97/98 Dion and Huckerby and 99/00 Roussel and Keane are the standouts for me.

Quinn & Rosario with Ndlovu and Gallacher on each wing

I think wallaces running and his overall game brought the best out of fergie . Without him Ferguson looked a bit ordinary ( to put it kindly)
