Yeah, big Dion for me as well, excellent player, probaly the best i've seen in a city shirt,my 2nd ever game, Dion scored 2 in a 2-1 win over man city, imp: Huckerby & Whelan follow close behind, started going regular when i was 9 or 10 (late 90's) so i got a few years of half decent football before all this dross,

Have been watching City for 35 years and whilst I have had many favourite players over the years, Steve Hunt, Hadji, Chippo, Big Mo, Robbie Keane, Terry Yorath, Jim Blyth etc the three that I wish we had today are Trevor Peake, Stuart Robson and Dion Dublin. Peake was a brilliant defender, read game well and gave 100% every game - had he played for a more fashionable club he would have played for England. Robson, although rarely fully fit due to long standing injury that eventually finished his career he is undoubtedly the best all round midfielder to have worn the City shirt and Dion is quite simply the best player I have had the pleasure of watching in Sky Blue, a far more all round striker than the media ever gave him credit for, a top footballer, even a top defender when called upon - his not going to the world cup was simply a crime. So overall it Peake, Robson and Dublin for me.

Robson was really unlucky, he looked first class when fit.

Peake was an incredible defender, ahead of his time. Not the typical 80 s clogger, intelligent and skillful

since relegation its gotta be Westwood, were gonna miss him.

Dann was class aswell you could tell he was destined for bigger things within his 1st few games games with us.

One of the best value for money signings City made has to be George Boateng as he was outstanding player for the City - watched him out play midfielders considered to be the best of their era - Ince etc.

Ndlovu was just a genius.
One of my all time favourites is Big Mo. Think he was exceptional for us, really brought us forward and those runs!!! Legend.

It's mad but I never really thought Dann was as good as he is now being bandied about as being. Yes, he had all the attributes and lots of potential but I always thought Fox looked the better player out of the two.

How wrong it appears I was.

Over the 80's and 90's I could reel off many (most of which are already listed in the above posts), but for me if we're only talking recent (I guess it depends on our definition of recent) then if I'm still allowed to utter his name around these parts, it has to be Marlon. He showed us what we have been missing for years. We've had decent players, he was different class at the back end of last season.

The problem with Fox is that he's not exceptional at anything besides set pieces. Average defender but OK going forward. Dann never looked like anything special to me, how wrong I was - if Henderson is worth £20m he's worth twice that - even Shearer highlighted Dann's injury as a reason Brum were relegated, which makes him even more of a legend to me
