Just read in The Star that Benjani is close to signing for Non-League Stockport County.

Surely he would be worth a punt on a pay as you play deal? And if Stockport can afford his wages surely it shouldnt be a stumbling block for us?

I know we need players but would any old player player really do ? Has never done much so thats why Stockport can get him

I see your point, but if Juke gets injured, what options have we got? He would do a job on a free transfer i think?

Blackburn have offered him a new deal which he is mulling over no way we could offer him the same wages

Stockport are only interested because Benjani is friends with Didi Hamman the Stockport manager.

We have no chance of bringing him here.
