It's between Grimes and Rushworth for me.

Like his stuff but my OCD is triggered every time he puts a Cov badge on the screen and it's missing the windows in the castle and eye of the phoenix.. I reckon it's a coded signal to his handlers

I accidentally used the same file once when I was making graphics for PES years ago. Didn't notice for ages but now I'm really tuned it to it. I think it was the main logo on the clubs Wiki for a bit too so he probably nicked it from there

How I see it.
Though Rushworths importance lessens slightly when Dovins back in the squad

I would suggest... not paying undue attention to images used on this website.

Grimes, yes but Rudoni must be the man to watch over the rest of the season.

Without starting a war , i just dont think Dovin is anywhere near rushworth and he will be a key part of us going up should it happen

He is. But for me at this moment in time I think the biggest loss would be felt if Rushworth was out as the drop off to Wilson is massive. As someone mentioned when Dovin is back I think it reverts to being Grimes.

Agree with this. If we do go up we’ll do all we can to sign Rushworth with Dovin on the bench.

I agree, but Rushworth getting injured with Dovin on the bench isn't anywhere near the issue it would be if its Wilson deputising

The question is, would Wilson coming in for Rushworth be worse than Allen coming in for Grimes?

I think they are both very good keepers. I was concerned about Dovin earlier on but he really stepped up before the injury.

There's not much in it for me. I think Dovin is better on the ball and has much better distribution.

Would've said Rudi, but hard to argue after all of the games we've won without him.

Got to be Grimes we just wouldnt be the same side without him, makes it all look effortless and he does more than a players worth of jobs we effectively play with 11.5 men with him on the pitch

MVE for me. He’s such a cheat code to have back there with his pace. He’s stopped so many chances from becoming 1v1’s by getting back when Bobby and Kitch couldn’t.

He basically stops teams attacking down that side because they know their winger can’t take him on.

I think he’s the one that opposition managers would have to change their set up for the most depending if he’s playing or not. Then there’s the long throws too.

The only game he hasn’t played, we lost

I can’t see Dovin being happy on the bench, especially as reserve goalkeepers rarely play.

If Dovin comes back from injury as the player he was before then I’m happy with him as our first choice. I think the money could be better spent on strengthening other positions.

Rushworth is currently far better than Dovin IMO. I'm a big fan of Dovin too, hes a massive upgrade on the previous clowns, but Rushworth is a step up again. Dovin has better distribution but it's kind of nullified anyway with having Grimes sitting.

Dovin is young, had a significant injury, and may take a while (even when fit) to fully recover. Wilson may well be ahead of him for a while, even when he has 'recovered'. That's not a slight on either Wilson or Dovin. So yes, Rushworth is vital at the moment.

I think this is about right. We'll sign Rushworth if we go up imo. Dovin would probably benefit more from a good loan move for his development rather than sitting on our bench if that's the case.
