Just seen the goal back. Terrible keeping.

His judgement was terrible. First tried to come out for it. Then he was actually backtracking as the shot come in.

It wasnt even a powerfull shot scuffed. Which trickled in off post via a deflection off of his glove.but for deflection shot would have gone wide.

His kicking today was dreadfull. Accident waiting happen.

I'd bring back Moore now. Hes had his rest and time out.

I see Wilson as no more than a league 1 keeper at best.

He has however done a decent job over the past few games when we have needed to stop conceding so fair play to him.

This isnt an endorsement of Moore.

Moore needed dropping.

I think we’ll end up in a Marosi/Wilson situation again with Wilson as number one for the rest of the season, which is beyond depressing.

Really hoping for a big O’Hare sale in Jan and we can get a GK a RCB and another AM in. Even if a couple are loans. Squad desperately needs fresh blood.

Looking like we should have kept Marosi at this rate. Was always better than Wilson anyway and Moore, who was an upgrade, appears to have been replaced by his twin brother from the circus.

No doubt I'm flying in the face of reality, and while I would like a new keeper, I don't want it at the expense of O'Hare. We have missed him terribly, and trying to replace him in the January window, which is a traditionally difficult one to make impactful signings, would fill me with dread. I appreciate that doesn't mean it won't happen of course.

It’s clear to me we either hold onto our decent players and lose them for not much or we cash in now and rebuild. The squad needs too much work for a free or a loan to fill the holes at this point Really we need a GK, at least one CB, a LWB a CM, maybe even an AM or a ST.

Gonna have to sell someone and O’Hare is the most likely. I agree we look toothless without him but for me that’s a sign him (and Gyok) are a level above the rest of the squad and we need quality throughout.

Do you think anyone would buy O'Hare in January? I feel they will need evidence he has got over the injury first.

I would just rather we try to replace them in the Summer, even if we take a bit of a hit on their prospective fees at that point. The extra time we get to bring in players in the Summer will allow MR much more scope to reset the team, reorganise it and start again. Doing so in mid season is much more difficult and risky.

If we have O'Hare/ Gyokeres/ Hamer available for the majority of the remainder of the season I am 100% confident we won't go down. Sell any combination of them though and my confidence diminishes considerably. Sell any combination of them in the Summer however, then I'm more confident MR would able to form a competitive Championship team, than if he has to do in January when there is a much smaller pool of suitable players to choose from.

Wilson is pretty rubbish, but he's been miles better than Moore this season hy virtue of not throwing one in his own net every week.

The fact that Wilson has the shirt is not over promotion of Wilson, its a damning indictment of Moore's form.

Yeah he probably should have saved it.

So that's one goal in 7 games he's at fault for.

Compared to what, 4 goals in 3 games for Moore? His form was just catastrophic, he absolutely had to be dropped.

Moore is the better 'keeper and should be back in the side - otherwise, it's just yet another poor waste of wages on our number 1 keeper.
You can tell the defence doesn't trust Wilson - Moore really does not need to come back into the side.

But he hasn't been the better keeper this season, not by a long way. That's the point.

Wilson doesn't deserved to be dropped, regardless of how much better Moore is (or rather Moore doesn't deserve his place back)

Moore should have been dropped for making a clanger, yet Wilson doesn’t deserve to be?
Right.

There's being caught out of position on a shot and there's sprinting out of goal like a lunatic multiple times and dropping a tame shot under no pressure

Moore made 4 in 3 games.

Wilson made 1 in 7.

How can you not see the difference?

Personally I’d be surprised if Moore played for us regularly again - it’s beyond a joke we’re having to make do with a reserve League 2 keeper.

There's a lot of things that are farcical at the moment

Persuading Crystal Palace to loan us a player for us to then tell them to take him back a month later so we have only one recognised left back
Forcing Hyam out the door on the cheap so we have a preferred back 3 of two inexperienced players and one on his last legs
Hamer getting sent off so often you think he's doing it on purpose so we're left hoping for a way past it Kelly to get fit
Giving Walker a start then hauling him off after an hour of feeding off scraps
Thinking we had a replacement for Hyam but forgot about something called work permits

Somewhere the goalkeeper situation fits in there but really Moore was basically the reason we were sat on a single point after 3 games rather than 9-he couldn't stay in the side

Exactly. Doesn't matter how much better than Wilson he is, he potentially cost us 6 odd points in 3 games, it was catastrophic form and he had to be dropped.

You could go as far as saying he cost us 8. But I do think there should be a route back for him to reclaim his place-we need him in form and between the sticks

That’s my point, the longer he remains out of the side, the harder it’s going to be.
Let’s not forget he didn’t even have a full pre-season due to the alternating going on.

If we weren't already adrift at the bottom you could give him time to get back into form through playing. But it's difficult when we're under pressure to get points and he's thrown away more than our entire total

Obviously seen the goal live and saw the highlights again. Don’t really get the blame being pointed at Wilson, it was a quality first touch and a nice deft finish. Sometimes it’s just a case of a bit of quality that has undone us as was the case yesterday.
