What are the alternatives? Let the debt build to uncontrollable levels. Remind me how that ended last time, oh wait it hasn't yet.

You are aware that under SISU the debt is lower than under the previous regime and the previous regime left the club in a position saddled with debt and next to no revanue streams, no?!?!

None of this will change unless an Abramovich, Oil Tycoon, Sheik buy's us, so like I asked earlier what is the alternative?

i'd snap their hands off for that amount. Richard Wood is a better defender anyway and not as injury prone.

Fully agree, except:
He's better than Wood (and scores more goals!),
and does one long injury layoff equal injury prone? I think not.

oh, and I'd want to keep him.

Realistically we've got about 4 saleable assets - Clingan, Crainie, Jutki and Turner.
Can't afford to lose Clingan or Jutki and would get more for Turner than Crainie.
McPake getting a contract extension would also seem to suggest the board are thinking that way as well.
A couple of million for Turner and a sell-on % is good business for where we are at the moment.

Torchy i respect your opinion but there is a floor in it. If the above is true why are we not talking about the bluenoses buying Wood.

i would be disappointed to see another young player leave particularly to make a sidewards step. We need the money but i do not think we will see much of that cash, we need to dig down into the lower leagues but is ALF the solution???
