Fisher was quite clear in those 2 radio interviews that only a small part of any transfer fees received would be going back into the team. Much the same as with the Maddison money.

Can't trust a man who says in one sentence we have made 1 mill profit this year , then in another says we may need to sell in January to break even .

Mr FIsher told us we were £1 Million to the good(he do not tell lies does he?) if so with said money , the money saved on loannes going back plus money not spent in the summer that should be more than enough in this division to do some dealing without selling your best asset at a time when he is only raw potential not liable to raise more than £1 mill where as even at the end of the season value would probably have doubled after all surely that is worth the wait., 2nd from bottom we need all the talent on the field we can muster . Wasn't it we made 1mil profit last year (largely due to maddison sale) and weven will have to sell in Jan to break even/make a profit this year?

Do you genuinely not understand that or just spinning it to match your mood?

Yup, disappointed all the way to the Funny Farm.

The thing is, I really don't think you need to spend much money to get the players Required to be
able to compete in this league.
Not when you can pick up under contract, battle hardened, tough tackling, seasoned professionals
For as little as £30.000, just ask Bradford.

It's not hard to find them players, but its hard to convince them your ambition fits what they are doing all the running for.

Wind your neck in. I think we all understand that. The point is TF was making it sound like they've turned the business around and the blueprint has now been laid for a successful business. Which it hasn't as there is no guarantee that we'll have a Madison or Stevenson to sell once a year. Falling lucky on two consecutive years is not a blueprint, it's flying by the seat of your pants and is just as likely to fail as to succeed and it also depends on how you measure success because its clear it isn't going to bring any on the pitch. As always there's an element of truth somewhere in what Fisher says with a load of smoke and mirrors but it isn't the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Hence you can't trust him.

When the accounts come out there won't be a 1m profit. He was spinning the shit out of it to make it sound good like a car salesman.

Tim Fisher is the most dangerous thing attached to the future of our club, yes I know the popular theme is sisu out but I believe getting Fisher out and soon is vital, he guides and advises Joy Sepalla in football matters and has become more and more obstinate now and enjoying the power and goaded the supported and loves it.

But it is hard to convince most clubs to let you have 'said" seasoned professional for
Such paltry sums, unless of course it's CCFC.

I imagine a lot of undisclosed transfers in leagues one and two are for paltry sums.

IIRC although a couple of years back, Yeovil only paid something like £15k to buy Paddy Madden from Carlisle, and he ended up scoring for fun and getting them promoted to the championship that season.

The sums involved in league 1 are of course invariably paltry, but you don't have to accept
Them, Vincelot was an ever present integral part of our team.
So why sell him just before the season kicks off, that bit of business told me all I needed to
Know (as if I needed reminding) about the scale of our ambition, and the limitations there of.

Mowbray sold him then used the fee to pay for Turnbull. He was wrong, he should have kept him, he was the type of player we'd been crying out for, for years.

Why does he guide Joy in footballing matters? Obviously I don't have your inside access to know exactly what goes on behind the scenes but I am surprised that she is interested in the footballing side.

What has he said to you about having more power and loving it?

he also said in those radio interviews he didn't work for sisu and hasn't taken a penny out of the club for 18 months, the question is, who does he work for if sisu own the club and have appointed him ? and who is paying him ? I know he's not doing this for nothing and why hang around if everything is so bad ?

Exactly, we have to sell a proven league 1 profesional, who you know would have Been
a mainstay of the team again, too a rival for the paltry sum of £30.000, to bring in the
Likes of Turnbull.
So as I say, it shows the limitations (lack of ambition) at the club.

How many players did other league 1 teams pay a fee for?

To me it shows Mowbray and Venus were completely out of their depth in league one. Luckily Slade knows the league well, he knows what a reasonable fee and wage is and will hopefully be able to wheel and deel to get the right in.

No, £1M was an EBIT figure, look up EBIT. I can assure you the club will not post an operating profit of £1M for the financial year ending May 2016.

Now I know this might make your head hurt a little but hear me our.

Our model is to run at breakeven now whatever the impact.

So getting £1.5m for Stevenson in Jan and the budget not changing, versus not selling anyone in Jan and the budget being slashed by £1.5m over a hear or two...is that money going into, what did you say, seppalas pocket??

If Stevenson is going to be sold then it needs to be at the start of the transfer window, so at least Slade has a few weeks to spend his couple of quid wisely

I don't think you can ever lay a blue print for a successful business in football, in the way that you describe. As ultimately it all depends on some dude kicking a ball into a net on the day. So yes I would agree with you that Sisu haven't done anything magical to turn this into a successful business based off a sale or two.

That being said, that's got absolutely nothing to do with the post I was quoting from Evo....who was saying he didn't get how it could be said that we made 1mil profit this year and would need to sell in Jan to do the same this year?

Again...plenty of ways that SISU and Fisher are lying tossers we don't need to spin things or make things up to show this

To be fair, on paper, a young promising centre back from a Premier League Club, didn't look a bad bit of business. Especially as some Saints fans were gutted he went.

But I'm not questioning our limitations in ambition concerning sighings, it's our need to
Sell an integral part of our team for next "to' nowt to a rival that worries me.
