There is more cynicism in that post than logic and then served with a good dollop of understandable bitterness.

However Stevenson hasn't been sold and the other lad is only on trial.

Was just a little joke...

An article on the Telgraph says this lad is not even under contract at Stratford.

If it's me and he is impressing then give the lad six months, I think be a winner for all concerned.

Having some lunch at work and watching Stratford's highlights from their game with Evesham earlier in the season.. This lad Stephens looks really good! Two brilliant free kicks, a headed assist, a long ball across the pitch which resulted in a goal and a lovely second assist.. Looks a real handful this lad.

My bad. A lot of people will genuinely react in that way though.

Looks like he might get a run for U23's on Monday I'm planning on going anyway it's at the higgs 1.30 I think

I like this quote from his current manager

“The one thing about him is he has long hair which he ties in a pony tail, so he looks a bit of a ponce, and when the centre-halves see him with his pony tail I think they try to kick him.“

Can you imagine a league manager saying that?

He’s not in the U23 squad today against Cardiff so I’m guessing we won’t be taking this further

My mate who plays with him at Stratford said his trial has been put back - clubs fault apparently.

We once signed a non- league player who went on to captain England. Stuart Pearce from Wealdstone. Took a punt and it paid off.

Farndon didn't seem too impressed

Neither did Stephens by the sound of it

Rather an odd one. You would think there would have to be a reason. You wouldn't just not turn up surely.

Maybe there is a valid reason somewhere.

The initial article can read like it's the Stratford Manager pushing for it, but references that he's run it by Farndon.

Yeah though think Farndon is irritated by the public way he's gone about it

You think maybe he fancied having a stab at a Championship team first and thought if they are not interested he would then try us?
