To be fair to King, the same would have happened even if SISU had stayed in charge.

Under our previous owners we would have sold Vik for about £5 million quid. Even Man City have to sell players and looks like Trent Alexander is off to Real Madrid at the end of the season. Players move ,it's part of football.

Who's that young fella at Oxford, would he be interested in a move?
Could have been Stamenic and 6 months bedding in time!

Someone told me Stamenic is struggling at Olympiacos.

Been linked with a loan back to Leicester.

If you’re thinking long term and are confident we wont go down, and want to spend big in the summer, actually makes sense to sell assets now and spend the cash in the summer. Not sure the fans would let you get there though!
Whilst I agree a rebuild in the summer key I wouldn't be very confident that a midfield made from a mix of Torp, Eccles, Rudoni or Allen would be enough to 100% ensure safety. We are going to have to get replacements in, if we can get some quality loans at knock down prices then I'm fine with limping to the end of the season as long as we go big in the summer

If he goes who do we think we’re getting? Surprised we never went for Kyprianou from Posh in the summer in anticipation of Sheaf going. Mind you we know how Doug’s last negotiation with Darragh went.

I am worried Sheaf is looking increasingly like O'Hare following his injury. A loss of that get in their faces and make the hard tackles that happened before. Sheaf may be worried about his injury happening again, or thinking he does not want another injury before a move. He certainly is experiencing a drop in form but that applies to the whole team.

When ur captain is running down his contract it's time to get rid he's showing no commitment or leadership or interest in the club anymore

Mate you actually claimed that Tavares earned more than Kitching as Kitching came from Barnsley.

Were these the same people who told you hamer and o hare would have stayed?

Its irrelevant what he might do elsewhere or how successful he may be, if he doesn't want to do it here anymore it's time to say farewell

He's captain and he offers no inspiration to his team mates, just walks about with a face like a slapped arse.

If we can get 8 million and get it reinvested then it's a no brainer for me.

I doubt we'll see Sheaf at anything like his best for the remainder of his time here.

yep let's have Eccles # he's one of our own LMAO# as a midfield dynamo , great replacement for Sheaf., Not even worth Sheafs laces. People even suggest Allen,Christ we 're fucked, thanK fuck for Real Coaches and Management.pusb

Its been said before that sheaf needs a hamer playmaker next to him to get the most out of him. id rather see that type of player to get the best out of sheaf than lose him for £8m.

Cash doesnt equal a quality side, esp when other clubs know you have it. look at kitchin costing £4m

I never claimed anything, just because somebody knows something you don’t, no need to get all upset and trawl through posts that have nothing to do with what we’re talking about I’m sure if i trawled through yours you’ve got some crackers

He could sign a pre agreement for free in Jan next year if hdd ed moved outside of the UK. We can’t take that risk.

id rather take the risk if i means we could add to the squad in jan/summer 2025 and get sheaf on form again, rather than lose another key player.

We're not going to get 8 million for Eccles though.
If we could that for a player, (and I appreciate the story is alout certainly bollocks), that
a) doesn't look like he wants to be here
b) won't be staying beyond his current contract

then it's a no brainer.

Because they all had ambitions to play at a higher level and left. They may have got more money but I think their ambition was a higher motivation

This was 100% a dodged bullet.

Peterborough are having an absolute honking season (could well go down to L2)

And he in particular has received huge backlash and flack from their fans.

If he was a serious consideration, again doesn’t reflect too highly of the recruitment department…

If the opening gambit is £8m, if you can get £10-12m in cash and a few million in add-ons, we’ve done well.

If we were in the mix for the playoffs, you’d hold out for £15-20m but we’re not and he’ll have 12 months left on his contract by then.

We can have Hamer and Sheaf leave without putting serious investment in midfield. That could be hypothetically 20+ million from 2 players and all we’ve done is sign Torp for £2m.

We’ve got a great ‘deck’ of forward players, we just need midfielders to supply them and a defence that can keep a clean sheet.
