Seems very cheap to me relative to our expectations only a few months ago and if true an illustration of both his form this year and his contract is running down ….

I'm fairness , most club should overlook a poor spell as we all know he's better than what he's showing

He's a good player and we'd be even worse off without him

He’ll be yet another player deemed not good enough for us who then goes on to play at a higher level.

If he goes in jan it will be an absolute disgrace, our midfield is weak as it is

I mean if Leeds want to give us £8 million for him, fair enough.

Would all depend though on the club finding a replacement this window but would allow Lamps to put his mark on the team (and to put in place a new captain).

Would be a very poor window if we lose MVE and Ben sheaf , a massive hole that I doubt we could fill in the window

8 million? Will be shameful to sell him for that

Double figures would be fine by me. As long as we get a replacement in same window.

I’d imagine we’d plug the holes with loans until the summer.

Could not care less with "we can get replacements"... selling both in Jan would be a huge risk.

TBF (with the exception of Lampard's first win) Sheaf has looked unhappy this season. I think if someone offers £10m he will be off. I might be completely wrong, but he has had the air of someone sulking over not getting a move in the summer. However, I think he has been a really good player for us on the whole and, this season apart, he has a lot to be proud of in terms of his performances.

At this point it’d be preferable to a repeat of what’s happened recently!

For a holding midfielder £8m isn’t bad money for this level imo. Think we should wait until the summer though.

To be honest if you told me we could get £20m this January for Sheaf and Milan, and we wouldn’t go down as a consequence I’d probably take it.

I would normally say we should flatly turn that down, he's worth so much more than that

He hasn't shown it though for a long while, so it does actually seem like a fair amount as it stands.

He's been below his best for quite some time now and there's been a succession of sub-par performances, which we can ill-afford.

Where has this rumour come from? Can't see anything online.

He's a very good player going through a bad spell (and he's certainly not alone in that)

Great captain Lati.

Sheaf is a good player but not one that will often hurt the opposition with a killer pass and we need somebody who can do that but I have no idea who.

I’d agree to disagree, he’s out of contract at the end of next season. Not having a great year and has been injury prone. Would want additional adds on based on stuff like Leeds going up.

But a base fee of £8 million would be just about right for me.

Me too. Allows Lampard funds to start his rebuild and to be able to hit the ground running in July

£8 million would be just about right for me too, but what about the club?

Really the money ought to go to them, oughtn't it?

Be shocked if arsenal didn’t have a sell on clause too, probably a hefty one
