Where does it end? Game stopped for an applause.

I know he nearly died but stopping mid game?

I thought it was a nice gesture and he had friends and ex team mates in both sides.

I’m not one who likes all these applauses for some random in the game but this was a bit different

I thought the shirt thing was a bit over the top to be honest.

He's not died and there's been some reports today that he's having a device fitted that will allow him to continue playing football. Apparently there's another player who had a similar issue and has gone back to playing after the same surgery.

Stopping the game to clap for him is way OTT. You know what will happen now, in a world where everyone wants to be seen to outdo each other this will become a regular thing.

This was a one off…previous game in same tournament, teammates on both sides, watched live across world and we all thought he wouldn’t survive. I don’t like it during game usually (before game would have been fine) but I can see why both sides opted for the gesture they did.
