Went down a rabbit hole

Memories of Belfast Celtic reawakened as IFA tries to calm old wounds | David Conn

David Conn: A groundshare between Protestant Crusaders and Catholic Newington could see football unite segregated communities in Belfast
www.theguardian.com

Didn't know this story! A club who withdrew from the Northern Irish league because of sectarian violence, despite being one of the most successful teams in Ireland. Imagine Rangers or Celtic doing the same!

Also, apparently, began the decline in the Irish league as it then encouraged fans to cross over to watch one of Celtic or Rangers.

Quite shocking really!
