Make sure you sign the petition mate...and get all your mates, and their mates, to sign it as well. That'll certainly start to put pressure on all sides if they're called before a Select Committee.
Think it will be more than 3 years. Think in 3 years will still be 'planning' a new ground and that there will be either legal wrangles or public objections or building problems etc.
I went for after next season. Not sure how many years after then though. First we wait for the JR. Then we wait for an appeal. Then we wait for another appeal. Then we wait for someone to be sued. Then we wait for another JR. Then we wait for an appeal.........
They were given up to 5 years. They are asking for what they can't have on the terms they want. They won't make lots of millions for their investors paying a proper price. They won't build a stadium. That would just be putting more debt on something that isn't working.
So the 5 years are up that the FL gave SISU. So they fine them 1m. Such a heartache. All they would need is a cup run in the next 4 seasons to pay for it.......and that is if the FL chased them for it. They could easily liquidate part of the club again or hit the FL with a JR. They would want to know how the FL kept bending the rules for them but end up charging 200k a year for one certain lie.
Yes the fine is just 200k a year if they do have to pay it. Not a lot is it.
The council wont sell to SISU cus then they will be in our city for a LONG time, meaning they could cause more trouble, not just for the club, but for the council and the city for years to come, so you can understand why they don't wanna sell to SISU. Also, the Ricoh can be a real money spinner. All these concerts and functions don't come cheap, so again, its plain to see why the council don't wanna sell. But they want CCFC back cus theres a perfectly good pitch at The Ricoh not being used. Cov coming back would bring money to the Ricoh and the local economy with the away fans and sponsorship etc. SISU need us to come back cus they are losing a lot of money with the boycott. They wont admit it but they aren't in a good position. They need to come back to the Ricoh just as much as the council and the fans need it. SISU want the stadium to themselves and its becoming clear that will not happen, so a rent deal is the only way forward, and IMO, if it doesn't happen this summer, it wont happen at all. Its our best and probably our last chance to get this sorted. We can cancel at deal with Northampton for free this summer and with on-field matters shelved until July, this is the time when we need to sit down and talk to eachother, get this crap sorted out and bring our club home. Its doable but it will need communication and both sides must be willing to make sacrifices
