Robbie Keane and Micky Quinn were the best goal scorers I had the pleasure to watch in a Sky Blue shirt... Quality! :claping hands:

Nice touch. But then he was only playing in the Yankee Pub League and the defending was non-existent. Keane was an exceptional talent when he was here. Don't know why he felt the need to retire to the States. Oh, wait....yes I do.

Serious question....is anyone here really interested in the MLS? I've noticed that they have been bigging it up endlessly on Sky Sports, as you would expect since they have paid to televise it. But it has all the appeal of snooker or show jumping for me.

What a quality player Keane was and clearly still is. He may now be playing a lower standard than at anything me in his career but the way he took that goal was superb. If it had been in the premier league the pundits would have been wetting themselves.
As for the question 'am I interested in MLS?' Answer is no! I don't have Sky in the house...can't stand the hype over 'average' games but more importantly don't want to provide the owners with more cash and more influence. My children just don't get it

It's dog shit. The atmosphere at the games is awful too. Went to a couple of games when I was out there..LA Galaxy vs San Jose Earthquake. Shocking football and cringey atmosphere lol.

Saw LA Galaxy vs Real Madrid too actually at the Rose bowl. Even that was a rubbish atmosphere and there were about 80,000 people there

Dublin goals per game ratio is more than comparable over a much longer period.

Reminds of a goal McSheffrey scored against Palace away from a goal kick at 11 minutes 15 seconds:

That doesn't surprise me. I know the standard is poor but I guess the atmosphere is down to the Americans just not 'getting' football.

I'm going to my first Bundesliga game next month and hope the atmosphere is as good as people say. At least I expect the German fans will know what's going on.

Sheffers was better,, if you consider he was a kid, it's was his first goal for the club, the ball didn't hit the ground, and both the control and volley where off his weaker right foot.

Getting paid a fuckload to play football and live in California - can't understand why he'd want to see out his career at LA Galaxy rather than somewhere like Stoke or Villa.
