Not sure how any of them are promoting a boycott. I wasn’t planning on going to the game today until I saw the news last night and thought I’d better get by ass over to show some solidarity with fellow fans going out their way, give a donation to a good cause and watch the game at the same time. My daughter has just piped up that she wants to go as well out of the blue. So if they’re supposed to be promoting a boycott (which of course they’re not so I’m not sure why some fans feel motivated to promote that they are) there’s going to be at least two more at the game who wouldn’t have been otherwise so they’re clearly not meeting those objectives. Not that they were trying to anyway.

Going off how the NHL operates in North America, which is franchises that can move or new clubs be created, they talk about an initial 25 years to get established then another 25 years to embed in the community. And they talk about the need for continued success over that entire 50 years.

Sadly, some sort of joint partnership regarding ownership of the ground (to access revenue / increase opportunities) might be best for us at present - not that wasps would be keen (nor have we the money / owners to set it up).
I'm not saying I'm happy with this btw, I wish we had bought the stadium when we had the chance.

That's what I mean, there are the odd ones but hardly on the rise. No more than the first year knocking around.

You are going to watch your team play just because people slept outside?

How many are put off with the stuff that's churned out?

My guess would be the only way to prevent a scenario where they overtake us (maybe they already have) would be if we got back to the prem. would that also make some sort of merger more realistic?
Anyway, it’s all theoretical...we need to have somewhere to play next year yet.

IMO there's zero chance of SISU dropping the legals and there's nothing we as fans can do to force it. Everything that's been tried has had zero impact on them.

On the other hand you've got Wasps who have shown themselves to be very sensitive to even the slightest criticism. To me it's a no brainer if the primary aim is having somewhere to play next season. Put pressure on them. At the moment they think they can just sit back and see the club cease to exist with no comeback on them. Statements like the one quoted above from JHW aren't doing anything to challenge that point of view.

Even the chap from Supporters Direct said at the Trust meeting that fans groups have to maintain professionalism to be taken seriously. Tweets saying things like SISU scum out don't strike me as meeting that standard. Of course nobody supports SISU or what they have done and everyone wants them going but its just distracting from the main issue at present and that only benefits Wasps.

And? The point is that support will just as quickly walk away if success isn't sustained. They haven't all become die hard Golden Knights fans overnight and in the near future they will have the Las Vegas Raiders in the NHL and seems quite likely there will be an NBA and / or MLB team as well.

Those fans who were quick to jump on board with the Golden Knights will just as quickly jump off if success isn't maintained, especially when they aren't the only team in town.

I did think he was just being bullshitted himself and did feel sorry for him but it's obvious now that what his shouty friend says goes and just proves exactly what I have been saying. Nobody is listened to if they aren't agreeing or back patting.

You stop then telling everybody else they are wrong as it then makes you look bad. You know and I know that sort of person shouldn't be anywhere near the Trust if they are trying to remain professional and that it just undoes any good work that people like you and Moz (and others) do to interact with people when somebody else involved just starts throwing hand grenades.

It will end up getting more and more obvious as time goes on.

That type of person will just ruin things you and the Trust do, especially when they start going on about Season Ticker holders, making things up to mislead fans and trying to wedge a divide.

Some bloke on the TV today said he was really happy with the support that homeless volunteers helpers gave, with feeding and warm clothing etc.

I live near Salisbury, and the annual sleep out for the homeless got cancelled due to the poor weather.
