Commentary by the Worcester radio commentators. Love the way they noted that Burge had been tripped by one of his own players, just before he returned the same to the Worcester player. No excuses, of course. But it shouldn't have been a pen. Sending off yes, pen, no. Mind you, our pen looked soft.

As in when it was given, or when it was taken?

If it was a sending off, how was it not a pen?

It bought at the time it should have been a free kick (albeit indirect) at best, but on reflection, the ref hadn't blown up for a foul against us so the clock was still going and the ball still in play (well Burges hands). Ref only blew up after the reckless actions of Burge, inside the area, resulting in a foul in the box, so penalty.

gotta say, think we saw the future today with that format. As goals go in we see them....

your right, but they scored theirs ,we didn't

As Burge had retaliated then sending off was correct but if ref had seen original trip by Worcester player then we would have had a free kick. Btw did anyone else see the ref show a yellow card to their no.8 for timewasting but didn't actually book him! If he had he should have been off as he'd been booked in the first half for giving away the penalty. All in all though deserved what we got - nothing!!

It was a pen because of Burge's retaliation to what should have been a free-kick , hence no pen. It was only, as you say, because ref missed the unsporting behaviour of the Worcester player (for which he should have received a yellow card) that it was a pen. Doesn't alter the fact that it should not have been a pen, and also doesn't alter the fact that we deserved to lose.

Wasn't bad, although that useless twat Kilbane kept pissing me off by referring it as 'a big local derby'. Fool!

It was the stupid cow commentating that did my head in, she said it was a local derby, then said what a good away support considering they had travelled 50 miles! Then said we struggled having 10 men for most of the game, Knobhead Burge was sent off in the 39th minute
shit performance,shit coverage,shit commentating

But like the Murphy's...

I guess technically speaking it can be classed as a local derby - 50miles isn't really far these days is it? Plus as a non-league side 3600 is a much greater following than many more local league sides (eg: Walsall?) might well have provided. And when I grew up...90minutes minus 39minutes leaves 51minutes...which more than 39minutes. So we DID play (I use the term loosely) with 10men for most of the game.
So calm down...we lost...lets move on.

I would take Fabien Debec right now irrespective of condition, form or whether or not he is still alive. Burge will be in non league within 2 years. Allsop will be working in a petrol station.

I couldn't disagree more. Alsopp will be non league and burge in tescos
