Finally managed to find a link to the old bbc predictor

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm

here’s what I got, I gave other rivals quite a few wins actually and cov 4 home wins(pompey, millwall, pboro, donny) plus 2 away draws(Watford, Bristol),I predicted every match on my gut feeling, not hope

i realised after i have bristol streaking clear and millwall dropping like a stone, who knows how close i will be,just hope im right and 44pts is enough for cov!

Not being funny here, but you have Millwall only picking up 4 points out of 12 games. That is some slump! They've won 2 out of the last 4!

thats 11 points out of last 10 games

thats winning 3 out of 4 from home and drawing the other and picking up one point away from home !

Lets hope that point away was at Bristol City, otherwise its over !

I know. I was very accomodating with the City's results. 3 wins and 2 draws. Which I believe will in fact be great.

But not for our survival hopes.

I just done it, I had 42 point finish and staying up on GD. I had 3 wins 3 draws and 4 losses for our run in with away draws at Watford and Bristol. I may have been a bit harsh on Pompy, Donny and Forest in there results.

EDIT: I think 10 points in the last 4 H games is doable, if we can win at Bristol we will have a good chance.

Whatever happens it is going to be squeeky bum time from here on in. I think that someone will go on goal difference this year so if we do get beaten goals against will have a huge bearing on whether its us.
Never realised how many favours Fester and Brum could do us, or not ,during the run in.

Don't bank on Fester.

Leicester failing to so much as make the play-offs despite their ridiculous expenditure would be a crumb of comfort if the worst came to the worst.

I have us finishing 3rd bottom, 3 points adrift of Bristol, but there are 2 potential 'swing' results in there that could keep us up

1. An away win at Bristol, where I have us down for draw
2 A win at Southampton, where I'm predicting a defeat

Either of those 2 scenarios would then keep us up on goal difference. Obviously a win at Bristol would be more likely, however anything can happen last day particularly as Southampton in my opinion will need a win to go up.

have us going down(where a last day win at southampton would keep us up on 46 points)

cardiff L
portsmouth W
Hull D
peterboroW
Bristol D
burnley L
Millwall D
doncaster W
southampton L

3 wins 3 draws and 3 defeats (leaving only 4 points behind 19th- so will be close)

I have us in 23rd place on 42 points, 4 points adrift from 21st, going down with Pompey and Donny.

Cardiff L
Portsmouth W
Hull L
Peterboro W
Bristol L
Burnley L
Millwall W
Doncaster D
Southampton D

4 Defeats, 3 Wins 2 Draws.

One thing I think is clear, lose a home game now and were down.

But if we win vs Bristol I am guessing that would keep us up according to your table unless you have Bristol finishing more than 6 points ahead of us?

Fine margins and all that.

4 Defeats, 3 Wins 2 Draws.

so, our best run of the season, when we have lost out top scroer, baker is out, our captain has suffered a major loss of form, we dont have a fit left back

really ?

1) It wouldn't be our best run of the season
2) Arguably our best run of the season came after Juke was sold
3) Before two performances everyone was telling us Baker was shit anyway
4) Clingan hasn't been in much form for the majority of the season
5) Hussey was on the bench vs Watford so hopefully will be back soon

Now go troll somewhere else.

i am surprised at that.

Hussey could be key to our fate in some ways. The lad does have a cracking cross on him at times and we need quality ball into the box.

Hope he's back soon. Okay, so he isn't the best defender in the world, but I think if we want to get out of this mess it is all about our attack rather than our defence, as our defence seem to make at least one howler every game anyway and that is all the defenders to blame at times.

I had 4 wins, 1 draw, 4 defeats. Relegated by the last kick off the season when Pompey win at the already safe Forest.

Despite currently being 4pts from safety, it's still in our own hands as we've got 4 x 'six-pointers' (maybe 5 if you count P'boro) of which 3 (or 4) are at home.

And with our GD being 'ok', at the end of the season, we could be thanking AT for all those narrow defeats...

Impossible to be impartial no matter how hard you try. In any case we stay up by a point. Doncaster, Millwall and Pompey are down. Southampton and Reading up, with West 'aaaam, Birmingham, Cardiff and Blackpool in the play-offs.

Phew, I can rest easy now, as I had thought we were going down.

We have 9 games left and you were talking about 11 points

4 Defeats, 3 Wins 2 Draws.

We have had a better run than 11 points from 9 games this season.

I agree I reckon he is probably the best crosser in the team, want him and clarke on the flanks with Keogh and Cameron in the middle.

Look at the top of the table! 3 teams on 87 closest in years!

Which probably means teams will stay up with fewer points than previous seasons then (as more teams are winning more games at the top, more must be losing at the bottom - not 100% sure that is statistically correct, but it gives me hope!)

I've just done it and had us safe, but even on that prediction be prepared for more doom and gloom and a bumpy ride as I updated after each game and until Millwall at home which is game 44 we are still in the bottom 3 and could still go down on the final day when I have us down to lose, but other results going in our favour.

and the winner is...........

silly game we just need to do better than the others each week and hope it's enough.

Got us down for 46 points - very close to the others but just enough

CCFC: 46
Peterborough: 45
Notts F: 44
Millwall: 43
...............................
Bristol C: 43
Portsmouth: 38
Doncaster: 38

Last 9 games W4-D3-L2

Not too unrealistic !!! - must win all home games (lose one home game must pick up away win to compensate) - 3 draws away with 2 losses

Nurse ....
