To be totally honest, I have recorded it, but was looking to see if there were any protests or banners in the crowd, or booing against the owner etc.

Also wanted to see what the pundits had to say, cos the move surely would have been debated.

i watched it pre-match, the pundits were positive about it, made me very angry. The man on the ground said it was 50:50 in terms of fans views. I think they have swallowed the guff about going bust if they didnt move to the ricoh. funny though, given its 50:50, looking at their twitter feed they have only retweeted positive tweets. BT Sport looking after one of its clubs it funds.....

Think it is also true, rugby supporters are indeed a different breed.

Had this been a football club buying the Ricoh and moving miles away there would have been a much bigger uproar.

Smoothly dealt with Otis, though I'm normally distrustful of an opening gambit of "to be totally honest" - after that, I bought it hook line and sinker

They're neanderthals on a good day. The last thing you want to do is to annoy them further.

Rugby Union has been going this way for years in the UK.

Was just being a little mischievious.

I really did wish to gauge the reaction of the Wasps faithful. Don't think I have ever seen a club rugby game ever. Only England and Six Nations games for me usually and that's my lot!

Unfortunately there's some truth in that.

Also lots of efforts to make the top flight a closed shop.

tbf in a small division, one down is about as much as you dare do really.

Sporadic calls for it to be zero down, however...

Managed somehow to get into CCFC even as a Bedworth lad. I got hooked in 1967 at 12 years old and CCFC was in the Top League.

Never got into CovRFC and to be honest I can't see how I ever could coming from Bedworth.
But I might give Wasps a go and test the water.

I would assume a lot of non Coventarians, who don't feel obliged to support Coventry teams, might feel the same and so can see how Wasps are going for a new market.
Fully understand any resentment from those living in Coventry of the Wasps but as you move outside Coventry the resentment dilutes.

Right, just watched a little bit of the game and the build up.

Key points.

1. No protest at the ground at all.

2. Lawrence Daglliglio, Baths supporter and player for 18 years, was very much in favour of the Wasps move to Coventry. Says while he was there the club moved 3 times.

3. Lots of Tweets to BT Sport in favour of the mood and a quick straw poll of fans at the game showed a 50/50 split on the issue of the move.

Definitely a different scenario to us, whatever else the wrongs may be. We were a Coventry team in a Coventry stadium and were taken away from our home city.

Pretty much 100% of fans were against the move. All ex players were against the move and all snubbed any appearance at Northampton.

We protested.

As people keep saying, rugby appears to be a different world and rugby fans, a breed apart.

Was especially surprised to see the 50/50 split amongst fans at the ground. Can't ever see that being the case here with CCFC if we are removed again, whereever that may be.

Don't think he said that,unless I misheard.

I could have sworn he said 'we've had many positive tweets.'

The rolling feed at the bottom of the screen was a mixture of positive and angry messages.
