Who did he flag?

Nobody looks offside and the ball was played backwards?

I think he might have flagged Nouble, check the pass to Nouble.

yeah that's what they said on the radio, the flag went up well before Barton scored.

Can't really tell, pressed pause a bit too late so it is just after the pass and it is a funny angle but he looks onside.

Would be a very late flag / whistle, there is like 8 seconds between that pass and the ball getting to Barton which is quite a long time when you watch it tick by!

I thought on CWR they said they thought Fleck was offside, can't remember.

nouble looks off side on that still, although you can't see the left back from there

Yea its a hard angle, CWR were adamant it was well offside anyway as they were directly in line. I think they said it was Nouble who was flagged but can't quite remember.

Has the rule changed? You aren't offside if the ball is played backwards are you?

If you're behind/in line with the ball when its played, you can't be offside. So theoretically you could still be offside from a ball played backwards if you were ahead of the ball when its played(and no other defenders were playing you onside)

I'm pretty sure it was Nouble who was flagged anyway.

Yeah thats what I meant, if you are behind the player and it is played back to you.

Andy turners article:

But this is a game of such fine lines and had Frank Nouble not been judged to have been a fraction off-side before pulling the ball back for Adam Barton to slot home to make it 4-2, then City would have been home and dry rather than left to hang on nervously to a fragile lead to the death.

I said at they time I assumed the lino thought Fleck was in an offside position although not technically active

If I remember correctly, the actual flag was given around the edge of the keepers 6 yard box rather than where Nouble is in that still.

What is positive is that this came after the 2nd Chesterfield goal.......we were attacking in numbers to try and get another goal ourselves rather than sitting back letting them attack us

One thing TM will have sussed out is that we can't confidently defend a lead. Free kicks close to our box must concern him. Reckon he's got shares in "Tena Man".

Buying a house. Just need to convince her that sky blue works in every room and CCFC on the roof will increase the value.

Good Lad
A word of advice, only apply. Sky Blue to one wall per room or your lights will be permanently on
Also if you don't opt for the mirrored ceiling
Sky Blue Is a nice colour to wake up to
As for painting something on the roof try RICOH
apparently you would see It from the moon
