yeah while finding another £10k. a week is no problem for Fleetwood on top of finding Mcgoldricks salary ,Oh and is it 8months now without paying the rent.:facepalm:

With all due respect he's at a different level to Kevin Kilbane lol but in all seriousness he is the type of player we need we have no leaders he might not be at his bet at the age he's at now but Roy Keane wasn't technically great but he ran that Utd midfield for years.Barry Ferguson might not be the answer but he's defo in the mould of player we need if we can all see it surely Robins and his staff can.We need a Leader a midfield general who commands respect and is a born winner who will drag these average player performances were getting now and turn them into winners..............lets not forget what Dennis Wise done for us when he arrived.

Jason Koumas and James McFadden were on frees alst season, and we didn't go for either of them.... people cite "their wages", but surely players of their age would want to be playing, and any wage is better than £0 which they get as a free agent ???

Barry Ferguson - what does he offer to the squad that we don't have already? He plays in a similar role to Barton, Fleck and others, and has neither the mobility or the pace that we need in L1. As per the other thread today, we won't climb out of this league by playing pretty football - we need to play high demo direct football with a lot of pace.

We have several missing pieces to our jigsaw, but Ferguson, decent player and all that, isn't a neat fit for any of them.

Played 45 times for Blackpool last season in a team that finished 5th, definitely not past it will go to a Championship club.

They have a chairman who has a lot of spare cash from his business and although hes rumoured to be a bit dodgy he isn't scared to take gambles, remember they have had 5/6 promotions in about 10 seasons and sold varney for a mil so it is currently a club that has cash to burn so to speak.
