Barnsley are awful.

Can see this being the game where a few things click and we finally stick some of our chances away.

3-0 win.

Was genuinely surprised to see their manager still in place. I’d heard that they were about to appoint Warnock 10 days ago.

We just need to hit this lot hard. The longer they go thinking they can sneak a point or even 3, the more tension creeps in. Early goal, this is done.

Likely to be one or two changes tomorrow I suspect
Will have a few youngsters on the bench who might get a chance to make their name if called upon

i do not think Bidwell is currently where we need him to be
i want Rose to play as much as the next person but we all know he will be the one sacrificed
i think playing two up top and changing style slightly to freshen up, also think waghorn needs to be played for confidence, he needs minutes not just 10 minutes here and there, and do believe him being up top will help occupy a CB freeing Vik to find space as Vic is not disciplined enough to stay central which i feel is needed for a lone striker, he is brilliant pulling off full backs and cutting in.

I would think this will be the team too , would expect Dabo on the bench

Hi would not be shocked to see Howley and Jones getting the start in place of Shipley and Allen.

And Rose, Hyam and Salter as the back 3

Could Howley and Tavares get the start, or will MR go with Howley and waghorn.

I was thinking about Howley getting a start.

Remember he threw Bayliss in at the deep end a few years ago

It'll probably be Allen though

I think Howley will probably start a game before the end of the season. We're likely going to have 8-10 games where we have nothing to play for, perfect time for players like him to get minutes.

Feeling positive about tomorrow. Performances haven’t been great and obviously the Cardiff result was poor, but barring Hamer we have arguably our first XI available (Dabo/Kane debate aside).

I would go two up front - Gyokeres is absolutely getting back to his best, but he was as good alongside Waghorn. And the latter definitely needs the minutes and confidence. Plus the only other half effective 10 (Allen) has to play deep.

Maatsen has to come back in for Bidwell. If Bidwell and Kane start as WB’s we might as well not bother trying to use any width as an attacking outlet.

I would like to see Tavares get 20 alongside Gyokeres. It would be good to see Dabo back too, but not if he’s at risk of injury again.

I heard Jones isn’t favoured by AV, hence why we don’t see him much. Any truth ITK’s?

3-0, Gyokeres (2), Hyam.

I doubt Robins would care about Viveash’s opinion if he felt Jones was good enough

Jones isn’t favoured by Robins he’ll be gone in the summer so why bother playing him anyway

Appreciate your views, and I’m not suggesting what I’ve heard is correct (although it has come from someone within the club), but neither of you are ITK’s.

Happy (and hope) to be proved wrong - I’m only sharing what I’ve heard - but let’s wait for Better Day, Believer etc.

I certainly hope so, I can’t take another game with Shipley as an attacking midfielder.

Start Jones win - don’t involve him at all we lose is how I see this game in absence of Hamer.

However if he doesn’t play need Waghorn to step up to the plate!

I think you may be slightly overstating how good Jones is if you think he’s the difference between winning and losing a game in the Championship…

I think he is a player you should definitely play against Barnsley - O’Hare, Waghorn & Jones behind Gyokeres and go for it!

4-2-3-1 and attack!

18k expected. Think it will be a lot fewer based on the dots and a low Barnsley following.

I don’t Vivesh has that much input into the final team selection , I know he was keen on Allen playing more last season and he certainly did not want Bright back
I think Jones might not be 100% at the moment and that is why he has not featured much recently plus on Tuesday he was forced to bring on two defenders when he might have brought on more attacked minded players

Think that's pretty much the picture SBB
Doubt Viveash has any axe to grind against Jones. Maybe even the opposite
But I hear Jones had had a minor injury niggle which may have affected selection in midweek
AV knew a fair bit about Bright's recent history from his contacts and wasn't too keen on seeing the lad return

5-2 to city. I’m there for the day and I’m there for the night. My daughter’s second city game. She has to see a win this time. Feeling positive. Will have a good day out whatever happens. Also hopeful of a reasonable crowd, 18k?

Disagree,I think AV has a massive impact on team selection. I think that the way we play is mainly down to AV and not Robins
