Don't like the hair cut...but what a player. Always comfortable, never gives the ball away and plays for the team. On top of that no histrionics like a few of his team mates

lucky he is up against Mascherano who is lucky they don't get attacked much as he is very poor at centre half, I think Alba got away with it earlier on should have been booked for holding his face and then putting his head into Giroud.

Carved Arsenal up when they upped their game. So comfortable on ball and so good at creating space. But then the dives and the rolls

Barcelona do my nut in, they have the talent to win without all this bullshit but they are always at it. Diving, feigning injury, niggly fouls and getting in the refs face all through the game, European refs always let them get away with it too.

Yep. No need for it with the talent they've got. Really annoying.

Was it Alba who fouled Giroud, then rolled around the floor, somehow got a freekick and then squared up to him. Ridiculous.

They are famed for playing pretty much the best football in the world but its probably only 20% good football, the rest is boring possession for possessions sake and gamesmanship.

The frustration comes from knowing they can be better.

Yeah, he put his head into his.

Pisses me off teams aren't treated equally, it was the same last night when Man Utd played Shrewsbury. It was like the Shrewsbury players weren't allowed near the "super stars".

Also the amount of goals they score, it makes you wonder how the bottom end La Liga teams would fare against the Southamptons etc.

Looks like there was handbags in the Juventus game too, same thing with pushing heads in.

Always thought that was a red card.

I think maybe the top 4/5 of la liga would walk the premier league but a fair portion of the rest would be in serious danger of relegation.

Also think Pique should get a longer ban!

Yes deliberately playing for a yellow should attract a significant punishment for player and club

Like no-one could have predicted Barca would beat Arsenal ! The current Arsenal team is a pale shadow of the great Arsenal teams of the past.

He is very poor at centre half. I mean he's only won two Champions Leagues playing there...

I'd have a chance of a winners medal in that side!!

You also have to remember that Djimi Traore and Steve Finnan have champions league medals too.

Anyone who watches Barcelona knows that saying Mascherano is poor at CB is a ludicrous statement. Basically what's happened here is someone's gone, he's only 5foot8 and used to be a CDM, he can't be any good. English fans in general are very good at being ignorant to other leagues.

I agree, He is still a very good player and reads the game very well. Traore on the other hand!!

He looks like a midfielder playing centre half, he has winners medals because the rest around him are so good the opposition don't get the ball much to give him problems so he is hidden.
