It's okay. It's all got a bit messy on here of late hasn't it.

I will never have a go at those attending Sixifields. I would rather they didn't go, but it is their own free choice and I would never put them down for doing so.

Yeah, why not? Ten people on a hill isn't much of a protest. Two/three/four thousand is. It's all very well "liking" every post that slags off people who attend Sixfields but not so easy to tell to people who don't attend what they should do, is it?

So some would have a go at people standing on the hill to protest and take the piss out of them...........and then say they would join them if there was many more doing it? :thinking about:

Most of us don't have a go at those that go to Northampton. But we do say about standing together and how much it could help our cause if nobody went.

I understand why many do go. It don't mean I agree with them. It also don't mean I have a go at them for going.

Think the thread has been misunderstood to be honest.

I don't think Standup is having a go, I think he is genuinely making a suggestion.

Nick, me old China. It doesn't work like that. This is how it goes: Tony and others like him, sit behind their keyboards, they log onto here and tell us what we should do, think and say. Simple really. If we don't do it then they can hurl abuse at us and tell us that the situation is all our fault. Simple really.

Sounding a little paranoid there Torch! I don't think anyone in their right mind would dream of telling anyone what to do, when it's clearly been demonstrated that such an approach doesn't work. A protest from those who attend hasn't happened yet, and I think it should... it's worth trying, if it's what you care about that is!

Look again. I don't 'like' every post slagging attendees off. It depends on the point being made. And I also 'like' your posts when I agree with them or whenever you make a good point. I don't care if you are an attendee or not. If I think you are chatting shite I won't 'like' your posts. Simple really.

I guess so, that is why they have gone to a football match? If they wanted to watch Rugby they would be pretty stupid wouldn't they?

Like I said. Staying away is a protest. And in the numbers that we are it's the loudest voice we have, especially when we turn up at away games in bigger numbers than "home" games. It's a clear message that we don't mind travelling, just not to home games.

Exactly, another thread hijacked sadly. I genuinely replied by suggesting that if he attended a game, he could potentially drum up some support. Not unreasonable.

That's no difference to the rest of us. Just most of us are putting principles before our Saturday, sorry Sunday football fix.

If they wanted to watch Rugby they would go to Rugby. If they wanted to watch Carlisle they would go to Carlisle. If they wanted to watch Manure they would go to Manchester. If they wanted to watch Birmingham they would go to Brum. If they wanted to watch Coventry they would go to Northampton :thinking about:

I was talking about the sport, why else would people go to a football match if it wasn't to watch football? I was just replying because of the way pusbccfc put it in "" like it was wrong that people go to football matches go to watch football.

Almost as stupid as they would be by going to Northampton under duress and keeping quite about being unhappy about it while standing in front of the "man" responsible for that decision and also guilty of not accepting a financially viable better option in the city they should be playing in, in the first place.
I am not sure why anybody is in duress about going there? If you are so angry about it then why not go and tell him what you think yourself? Nobody could argue with that.

Whenever someone on CWR speaks about themselves entering Sixfields, they say it's not about 'the politics'.

Maybe because they arent going to Sixfields to prove a political point? They are just going to watch a football match?

Yes I know, but I feel there's a good number in Sixfields that really don't care about us moving.
You look on GMK and you wonder if they even want to return to Coventry.

That's not everyone though. I know people who go in due to not being about to stay away, which is fair enough.

Bollocks. I know it fits comfortably into the view of many on here, but EVERYONE cares that we don't play in Coventry. Everyone.

I really don't think they do. Some people seem happier there away from all the hoi polloi, with the nice easy parking and the better class of individual present, and as this thread says, if they aren't happy about it, why don't they protest?

Let's start off a list of bullshit reasons mentioned for going to sixfields.....

1) using their kids as an excuse to go !
2) I just want to support the team not the regime !

Using their kids as an excuse? What do you mean?

Maybe they just want to go and watch a game of football. Nobody has to explain themselves to you?
