I think you and others on here need to stop believing that teams coming to a 3/4 empty soulless bowl that you don't own constitutes as a big day out.
You were in the premiership 14 years ago, you haven't been big or relevant for over a decade - we've been to Wembley twice the past few years, winning once. Those are big days out, not a trip up the M6 to play another league 2 side.
You're attitude is precisely why you're in for more 'banana skins' and shocks this year.
you are welcome, you will need them more to avoid relegation than we will need them for auto promotion. maximum pts would have been nice but its not the be all and end all. i will settle for over 100pts, i am not greedy
Its okay, I hope we take the same when we come to yours. A repeat of Saturdays performance and we wont though.
To be honest you were well disciplined and did a job on us, but we were garbage. We had won the previous two games playing a better quality of football, and it wasn't evident on Saturday. Not being able to make a pass is not going to win you games. Our fault though and we paid the price.
do need to stop doing so much hoof, but i guess thats whats robins asking for, a bit of directness required in league 2 i guess. 2 wins from 3 so cannot complain too much

I would have them in this week working on passing to feet. I couldn't believe how many times we left the ball short on Saturday in addition to how many times we couldn't play to feet.
I sincerely hope it was just a blip, as I can accept losses coming, but not when its down to such sheer ineptitude.
Work and other commitments, plus I hit 100 on the meltdown-o-meter last time I was here, so I gave it a while before returning. These new HRT tablets are great, they keep the hormonal explosions in check nicely. ;-)
To add to my earlier post, I'd like to emphasise how critical Robins is to this team - he won't take the defeat to Newport lightly, and I suspect he warned his players against complacency, which was then semi-ignored. After a few rollockings and changes, I'd expect a different performance next game.
Shwmae, me ol' sausage? Nah, the family is growing, thus the Focus has made way for a monster Shogun 4x4 S-reg...plus I was tired of shitting myself at every meeting with a huge tractor on the back roads to nowhere, so the Shogun offers ample crash protection and reassures the rectum.
Still smoking, indeed, but the crack phase got tedious.

Says the bloke whos team was number 20 best supported team last season in league 2 so ground was 3/4 empty last season except when there was a large away following.
true and i definitely see a difference in opposition quality but i felt we looked ok vs county, blackburn and grimsby, although definitely room for improvement.
maybe as a fan i am blind to it but i think we can do alot better than country and grimsby games let alone newport performance.

I think many are starting to see the quality of football on offer in L2 with the majority of football a physical direct approach, and that's before the weather has turned and pitches deteriorate.
I too like you maybe think we can do better than what we've shown so far and after all we've got a revamped squad and only 3 games so let's hope it's a settling in period.
V Notts county I thought we showed grit and determination which is a great starting point which made us compete equally and gain the upper hand as we played the better football of the 2 sides. Tho 3-0 flattered is a little but so what.... we'll take that for a opening day.
V Grimsby again battled and showed determination, competed equally in not a great first half with few chances created by both sides as lump it long tactics took hold. The 2nd half we passed it around better working through Grimsby and McNulty's awareness/element of luck swung the pendulum our way as we dictated the second half. Only really 45 mins of good football played but importantly resilient for 90 in our 2nd game.
V Newport County a drop off in performance levels all over the park and only a mistake dividing the sides. Passing and movement generally way off which you can only put down as a bad day and hope we don't see that for at least another 10+ games. Chances are we will as these are div 4 players, where errors and consistency levels are poorer the lower down the leagues you go.
For me I'm still happy tho I feel we've only really played a good 90-120 mins of football out of 270 mins of L2 tho I'd of taken 6 pts from 9 at this stage.
Andreu will provide a big shift in momentum for us creatively if we get the jigsaw around him correct.
Still plenty of positives to take from 3 games, and very likely to improve more.
