Debating it for Friday, anyone done it?

Is it worth the £80 a pop?

Got our ST's of course but fancy treating the kids. And myself

Save the money and go somewhere nice instead like your favourite restaurant.

If you have never been over that side of the ground before it would be a good experience .

But I think you can find much better value for money doing something else .

Only done Balcony Street once.

Great seats andit's nice to be able to chill out before/after the game with a beer without big queues.

The food isn't great though and there was massive queues for it.

Probably worth it for something different or a bit of a treat like you say, just don't go in expecting it to be top tier premium quality hospitality.

Certainly a waste of money for kids. Wouldnt be so bad if you actually got the advertised price as a deduction from the ticket too rather than 1/23rd of your season ticket cost. If it's free and corporate night with the works then just enjoy and dont worry about the price, but for a random game I dont think there's much value.

Whilst I'm here, does anyone know how to get a birthday message on the scoreboard at HT please?

Did the Mahou lounge and wouldnt do it again. Over priced for what it is, hated watching from the balcony which was soleless and away from any atmosphere and as a ST holder you get no reduction on the price.
Id personally sit in your normal seats and then spend £80 on a good restaurant after the game

Sit in your seat, use the money to get more beers after and a decent meal. Could get a filthy mixed Grill from the New Horseshoes or Kushi (The Hub) and a few beers for the same.

Ah I was going to ask if the Mahou lounge was any good. I was thinking of taking a few clients there on a corporate thing, guess it might be OK for that.

Obviously looking at other options for when your ST is revoked after Pete's told the club about you telling us injury news!

That’s the one I’d like to try, and my kids to be fair, but very pricey.
Thing is for any ‘proper’ corporate offering where you get food it’s gonna be that sort of money. Be interested to see if The Padded Seat get asked back to do some of the other packages.

id like to be in The Mill to be honest - bit nicer surroundings but not ‘proper’ hospitality.

Yeah, I've not been to the Balcony Bar, but would be more interested if we got some money off from having a season ticket as well.
Feels like I'm wasting my season ticket a bit if I've already got a ticket for the game, but buying another

And I bet the balcony is still half empty. Either they stay inside and don't watch the game or we have more seats outside than we can cope with inside.

Simple solution for me would be as suggested before to move the press box up there on one side and put in the TV gantry too. No idea why we can't. It would also free up more normal seating that they could sell ion the two sides and look better on TV when it's not showing the empty side all the time.

Done it twice this season, when it's been reduced, food was alright but my mate made the mistake of thinking food was available at HT so didn't use both vouchers, one free beer on entry and tea/coffee at HT.

Probably just about justifiable if you weren't a STH and going to pay £37 a ticket, then spend £15-20 on food and drink anyhow and want to sit down and chill before and after the game.

Saying that my lad and my mates lad must have buttered up someone as they came back with 6/7 bags of sweets each last time, which probably would have cost £15-20.

Other that a warm room to sit in at HT/FT etc not sure it's worth the hype.

Tesco cafe should be open. Though I haven’t forgiven them for taking an hour to make fish and chips.

F&C last night at the Viking Fisheries in Hull - only a small portion, but better than anything round here and £4.95. Probably a good thing I don't live near there, I'd be going far too often!

The forum needs its own dedicated fish and chips thread, but generally you get better stuff in the Midlands than seaside places. £5 is a steal though

Been three times this season. Like it mainly because my dad can use the lift and I can see the game from the seats. The food is generally poor but OK for some nachos with your beer or whatever. If you want a chilled drink with the footy on the telly and Josh Eccles to come and tell you he’s injured it’s pretty good. Might give the Mill a go for comparison tho as it seems to tick all the same boxes for cheaper.

Be ok for that. To be honest the food was ok but not worth what they charge. Also be aware that the free drinks finish as soon as the full time whistle goes. You then have to pay for anything you want
