After going to 90 % of the games this season can some body please tell me what Baker does for the team. I know he is not on his own as being not very good, but, is he just in the team because we have not got another right sided player to give the team balance..???

This, there's far worse players getting a run out. I like Baker, don't agree with this one.

It is because he isn't from Coventry.

I think this season Baker has been a lot better than last season, he is tracking back and battling a lot more than he used to and going forward he looks more of a threat and his crosses actually get off the ground most of the time.

He missed 2 sitters last night in the first half. Both because his first touch was terrible

Because Baker isn't from Coventry so he gets a lot more stick whereas McSheffrey tends to not get any stick because he gives it the Mr Coventry.

Got to call you out on this one. This is complete rubbish. McSheffrey has been getting a hell if a lot more stick than Baker. Which you would know if you actually went to games :wink smiley etc:

All I heard for McSheffrey was a cheer when he got substituted yesterday whereas baker is always getting abuse.

I am not saying everybody should abuse players or boo players, but when somebody comes on and says how poor baker is when we have players like Barton / McSheffrey on the pitch also then it is a bit strange.

They're both utterly shit for 90% of games, I agree with the original OP and I just want to punch Baker the twat for insisting on wearing those clown like pink boots !!

Baker's first touch is often poor, and for some reason he skies way, way too many chances. I would have thought his overall play could be improved by hanging a large weight to his nose to force him to keep his head down.

There are worse players out there right now though

I know what you mean about some of his shots, he leans back way too far and they go miles over.

He was absolutely hammered when he got taken off-it was clearly the fact he was being substituted that was cheered, and he knew it, you could tell by his body language as he went off. If anything he gets more stick because he's from Coventry-which I haven't always agreed with. But for the past two seasons he has been pretty poor, and this season utterly attrocious. He does look like his confidence-and his touch-has gone completely.

The shot he missed last night.
Mcsheffs cross was hit so hard and I don't think he was expecting it!
His cross for Mcgoldrick was immense with his left foot!

Still played in the wrong position!
