Carl Baker found time in his preparation of a crucial must win game at MK to wish Cov all the best today hoping they beat the drop - He will get presented with his MK player of the year award today - what a guy

Has he driven down to Crawley to wish them good luck or done a tweet or something?

He has a lot of friends at and in our club. His brother's death cemented that. I don't think the word legend exists in the real world but the word 'role model' is one and Carl is that.

He's a decent bloke and it's really nice of him to feel he still has some kind of affinity with the club.

As a good a bloke as he is he is never as passionate as his replacement JOB, OK JOB hasn't scored as many goals or provided as many assists, JOB runs around a lot more often chasing his own first touch and JOB interacts more with his teamates often berating them for not interpreting his first touch as a pass. Good call by SP & Waggott

It is a shame he didn't score against us so we could clap him like McSheffrey

JOB is garbage. He runs alot so what. Does not do alot else.

Baker can get 10-12 goals a year at this level. Baker had his faults but is way better than JOB.

His player of the year at promotion chasers MK Dons proves this.

JOB is fighting to stay in L1.

Not as passionate as JOB ? Rubbish, he's twice the player of JOB and is more passionate for Coventry even now than our starting 11 put together

The fact that he is so worshipped by a younger generation of CCFC fans is indicative of what a bunch of shit we've had to put up with in recent years and how gullible people are to a bit of social media interaction from a 'star'. His 2 goals in 80 Championship appearances were a part of why we got relegated. A decent League 1 player and that's all.

JOB has more facial hair and a first touch that goes further than any of us can kick a ball and as for being scottish so are some of our key players Webster scored a crucial goal against Fleetwood and the other key scot John "the goal machine" Fleck has played 95 games in the last 2 seasons and although only scored 1 goal he brings a lot of pace to the team.

This does remind me a bit of Justin Bieber flashing his 6 pack at a concert or something.

The way people are going on is as if he has been down to Crawley to give them all a team talk or something.

Can people not just post that they think he is decent and saying fair play for wanting us to stay up? Along with the crap McSheffrey dig, is there any need?

Is it any different from Callum Wilson saying he wishes that we stay up?

So people didn't clap McSheffreys goal against us? Sorry if I am wrong about it.

There is a difference between saying fair play and the original post.

Baker was at the Walsall away game earlier this season. Mk dons had played the day before I think.
Anyway, he came into their clubhouse before the game which was full of cov fans. Not one supporter came up to him and said he was fucking shit and slagged him off.
Must be just an internet thing.

So you went round to every person who clapped and asked them? I thought that the majority of people said they clapped because he didn't celebrate. Also, how do you know that isn't the OP's way of saying fair play?

Asked them what? If they think Baker is a top bloke?

Maybe they didn't see him going mental when we played Scunthorpe earlier in the season and they got the winner...

You mention McSheffrey then say Baker when you know I'm on about Mcsheffrey, can't be arsed to argue with you over something stupid as this would turn out to be.

What would I be asking them?

If they are clapping him scoring against us? I think that was obvious that he had just kicked the ball in our net and they were clapping.

Just watched a montage of CB's CCFC goals on Utube - how anyone can doubt his abillity is beyond me.

* two footed
* good in the air
* brilliant ball control
* free kick expert
* 25 yard goals
* close control in box
* wizard of the dribble

We sold this brilliant league 1 player and are now paying the price - best of luck Carl for next season.

* Terrible captain
* Never tracked back to support his fullback
* Waved his arms around as soon as he lost the ball instead of trying to get it back
* Drifted inside too often, with negative consequences to the team shape
* Wasted a million corners over 5 seasons
* Looks like Earthworm Jim

He's just scored again.

Does seem like he genuinely is bothered about Cov. He hardly ever tweets or posts on Facebook about MK without getting a Cov mention in.

I don't for a minute question JOB's passion , and he would always be first on the team sheet for me but Baker was an all round better player and had more of a cohesive effect on the rest of the team in my humble opinion.

Got an MK Dons supporting mate who takes great delight in sending me several texts during games telling me how well he's playing and how stupid we were to let him go. MOTM performance so far today apparently.
