Rumours going round Twitter that Carl Baker is training with Sheffield United today.
Also, going off their forum they're linked with John Fleck too.

While i don't think anyone wants to see him go, he'll do well there and if the rumors are true then good luck to him.

That said, i hope they are just that, rumors.

but he's contracted to us so him training with them would mak no sense

Are the twitter sources credible?

I doubt he is training with them even if there is any truth in the possible transfer rumour

Being contracted with us means he can't play in full fixtures for another side, but he could certainly go train with them as part of a trial ahead of a transfer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sisu have said he can go as we've done better than complete shite without him. Try and sneak him out whilst we are playing well.

No smoke without fire.
Just when everybody starts to love SISU they drop to new levels. If he goes let's see how these followers justify it.
We know TF will blame poor attendances but he did say SISU will finance the drop in income.

It's from people who are at the training session. No-one has said for definite it's him but they all seem to think it is.

You need a squad of players not just 11. They could probably justify it if they shore up the defence.

I hope to god we don't offload any of the first team squad, particularly after such a promising start to the season. With so many kids in the team we can ill afford to lose the likes of Baker or Clarke. If it happens TF will say that on gates of 2000 we have to sell. Truth is if we had full houses they would still sell.
Hope I am wrong.
As for Baker training with Sheff Utd, IMO only true if he has actually signed for them.

We know that, I'm not convinced Sisu do.

Yes everyone is loving SISU based on 1000-1500 travelling to sixfields for 2 games, that makes sense

I'm not saying there is no truth in it but it could have been started by any troll on twitter. How many Internet rumours turn out to be true?

Knee jerk or what? Is this from the same source as Christie going to Ipswich or Stoke? Or Clarke going to Scunthorpe?

Could be a case of adding 2+2 from Sheffield fans as looking at there boards they seem to like/want him and then think he was 'left out' of the Preston game at the weekend

If they could post a picture of the training session we could make up our own minds

You've been on this forum long enough to know that's not true, even if this rumour is.

Following Bakers scouting mission to Preston last week, he now appears to have infiltrated a Sheffield Utd training session.

But what do sisu gain if he leaves ? he is on contract and if he doesn't ask for a transfer he is entitled to have his contract or a good part of it paid up, so most of any fee would be absorbed with that.

SISU will sell anyone they can, it will be their way of financing the ongoing losses at the club, it also helps them divide the fans once again as they can blame non attendees rather than themselves for poor revenue, it also stretches out the income drought for ACL !

I thought he'd left for Notts Forest a couple of months ago anyway? Around the same time that Leon Lobjoit joined MK Dons, but after Clingan had been sold to Leeds?

We could get Joe Cole back in on loan again to fill the gap.

My word, you can be a plank at times.

"Just when everybody starts to love SISU..."

Explain this nonsense.
