He has carried a knock since one of the cup games. Think it was Spurs. Recall him putting on Facebook that he wasnt going to miss this game or something along those lines.

In assuming hes just had one too many injections and the club think now is the time to send him for his OP so he can be for and ready for a preseason return

I think its been a little evident he's been carrying a knock. We've seen him limping often.
He went down the other week, not too sure what game that was.

Just shows his commitment to the club. I generally think he really loves being here.

Hardly surprising with some of the shoeings he's took this season. Milton Keynes for one...

I hope he's back soon. 14 goals from a winger is better than we could hope for, just check how the Cov lad who's better than Henry is doing on the other wing

Anyone would think he was a cov lad! His kids appear to be junior sky blues too from some of his Facebook statuses!

he runs about for 90 minutes ok, hasnt looked like he has been injured, runs forward and back defending no problems

ive noticed he hasnt been playing so wide the last few months, he's been coming inside a lot more, letting Christie overlap!

if he has been injured, why the hell have we been loaning in 30 defenders instead of a right midfielder??

I don't think it would make a difference if those shouting abuse knew that he had an Injury it not... They are so ignorant and lacking in brain cells, it would register that he was simply doing as he's been asked to by the manager & playing through the pain , trying to help the team ...

They'd just carry on making donkey noises, shouting vile abuse and laughing with their mates.. Pessimistic view I know, but I'm hearing it too often & it's becoming a virus spreading around certain groups if fans up the Ricoh. As I said in another thread, they were doing it 15 mins into the match Saturday... 15 mins in and they are screaming to get him off & making donkey noises

I thought there must have been something wrong with him lately. Glad he is getting this sorted, cus we need our captain for the run in. Admin is not assured so until it happens, we're still in this

Because he's arguably our most important player and they've been giving him them elections each week to keep him playing. We wouldn't be able to loan a player that scores the amount of goals he does.

He is off to Germany for the op which suggests to me he is doing it off his own back again. Hopefully it will only be keyhole and he will be back in a week or so.

He got a knock on his ankle just before the Crewe Home Leg of the JPT but played anyway.

I kept seeing him limping after certain tackles but he just wouldn't stop.

Same goes for Leon. He's been playing with a nock for a few weeks I think but his commitment to the cause has kept him on the pitch week in week out.

Some fans need to start using their words to praise these players instead of shitting on them everytime they do something they don't like.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of McSheffrey's but that's for warrented reasons.

If players like Leon and Baker can play and score week in week out WITH injuries, then what does Macca bring to the team WITHOUT an injury??

Not much really in my opinion. Yes the odd good pass or cross that results in an assist but as someone said on here the other day, that doesn't justify his place!

He needs to be consistant and players like Leon and Carl are showing him up WHILE INJURED lol

Laughable much lol

I think what a lot of Boo boys forget is that its League 1 football....if the players were perfect they'd be playing in the prem or we'd be running away with the league. Its the old Paul Telfer argument... he might be crap but he works hard!!

I really rate Baker, he cuts in too much when Christie has overlapped as when he sometimes gives the ball away there's no one in behind him to cover ( Jennings is stuck in his sand pit usually)

Baker always tries to go forward, its his default position. That is why he often loses the ball and the boo boys say he is shit. It is easy to pass back or sideways which a lot of our midfield do (Moussa excepted). 14 goals is fantastic from the right wing. We are going to miss him. Macca has been dreadful this season, but Telegraph said some time ago he had been carrying and injury for months.

i try to defend baker as i think he always gives 110% every game. when he's on form he is unstoppable, however, when he's poor he is poor. was at scunny and somebody behind me let out a barrage of expletives on baker....just after he scored! i wasn't very impressed!

To prove there is such a thing as sharing too much with fans, Carl Baker's Facebook account now has a lovely photo of his hernia operation.

Why would you even want a picture of it, never mind want to share it? I think its kinda weird that a surgeon even thought half way through the op "grab me the camera....."

Is that just a German thing? As ive never known anyone to have an op over here and say 'they have me this after the op' and proceed to show a picture....
