As it stands we already need last season's points tally to stay up including the deduction. Why don't SISU just close the whole business down and save themselves the time that this protracted hell will be?

just to add Baker is the only one of the 3 i would not want to leave, but saying that he is an awful capatain, he simply doesnt do enough at the back. i think they need to get rid to save money and that is completely understandable under the circumstances, why does every have these knee jerk reactions at the moment., calm down dears

Think they could save an awful lot of money if they sold the golden share and the players contracts to the highest bidder and walked away ! How would that sit with you?

math is the term that was branded about in public school in the 70s. it was used (as stated by our Math professor) math is a singular term not a plural term. Maths implies more than one, math implies one single subject therefore the correct terminology is math. by the way Sepalla is swedish, her husband is american.

Apparently she has Finnish parents not Swedish, and 'math' is an Americanism, wrong on both accounts at least it proves you're aren't joy.

Math - (Mathematics) US and Canadian informal short for mathematics Brit equivalent maths

This is a mixture of many things including the fall in income, the SISU investors who lost millions last Friday, ACL being able to hold out and force SISU to show its hand (a hand which we now see is a busted flush) a failure to sell any players to generate income, lack of sponsors and the list goes on and on.....NOPM is helping to drive them out but its a bitter pill. All I would say to people is remember this is not about 1 season its about securing the club playing at the ricoh for our kids and even kids/kids.

As for the story the last Baker post on fb was "Stuck in traffic for three hours" "Longest day ever" #gutted. So not much to read into that. The next question is who will take these players on at the wage and contract lentgh they will desire? Football below the premiership has changed and no one is handing out massive deals (qpr aside)

100% Correct. And those pitch invaders yesterday, all I can say is keep on kicking off lads, we ain't going out like that!

Just read the article properly..

An average of £8k per week....let them go, that's nearly double the average championship wage

What I do t get is, if it was down to their wages, all these players were signed up under the SISU regime. Therefore they set the wage agreements, and signed the contracts.

How can they now go back on this and say 'your not worth that much so you must leave'.

I'd understand it if it was a previous 'owner' that agreed these contract, but they are the same people, just using a different name!

The word “mathematics” can be considered as a singular and as a plural noun. Both the Oxford and the Merriam-Webster dictionaries say the word is plural – hence the s on the end – but also that it is usually used as if it was a singular noun. So, most people would say “mathematics is my best subject” and not “mathematics are my best subject”. The shortened form “maths”, then, makes sense because the word is still a plural noun and so should still have the “s” on the end. On the other hand, it could be argued, “math” makes sense because it seems wrong to remove the letters “ematic” from the middle of the word and leave the final “s”.
There are a number of other plural nouns that are used as if they were singular – for example economics, ethics, politics, gymnastics, measles and dominoes. These words, however, are not habitually shortened, making math/maths rather an unusual word.
It’s sometimes surprising how much argument and disagreement small differences such as that single letter can make. Readers in the UK, for example, sometimes get very upset if someone writes “math” rather than “maths”. No doubt the reverse is true in the US. In practice, it’s simply worth being aware of the geographical differences so that you can use the correct form of the word in your writing.

Wigan sky blue is correct, he's a grammar nazi with very odd sense of what is important but he's correct all the same.

Math - maths both are short for mathematics, I personally feel math sounds better than maths in the context you used it but it is an Americanism.

I think it's more case of 'we can't afford you'.

It's an absolute joke, how could they offer those wages in the first place?
