What can we expect from this. I have no idea, discuss.

Two hours of hot air. The judges will state no grounds for appeal. SISU yet again demonstrate they don't batter people in court. They move on to their next litigation regarding the sale of Ricoh to Wasps.

More appeals when they lose again (if they can) and probably more from Judge Fisher saying they got the decision wrong again.

Who knows? Who cares?

Ultimately win, lose or draw it won't change jack at CCFC.

Remember this appeal is based on the result being "wrong in law and in fact. " the appeal is obviously therefore a shoe in. Only fisher could say this quote above.

Almost as stupid as saying the new stadium plans are 3 weeks away.

Once this loses onto the wasps JR. Such fun

that will help with the rent negotiations, the only benefit I could see if we will drop the legal stuff if you give us a good rent deal.

I go back to my original post on this thread.

Who knows? Who cares? Ultimately it will change nothing for CCFC.

Yes I think they have said as much that they have been battered in court so much they had to appeal and appeal and appeal. They are still wrong though and most likely despite what they say spunking ccfc money in the courts. Appeals can't be cheap.

The new stadium seems to have gone very quiet not that it was never loud anyway. We all know it's clear bs.

Be surprised if it took 2 hours to decide this appeal result.

Joy presenting her own interpretation of the law and fair play. Someone wake the Judge up!

Well either they will win, which would seem unlikely with their track record, which will just mean more court action to follow or they'll lose which will mean the launch of JR2 and more court action.

Don't think we'll get much new information, will probably just be a yes or no to the appeal won't it?

Spot on, then 2 more years of SISU dragging anyone and everyone through the courts, followed by another 'hurt' they seek a JR on.

this seems about right to me ........ although the judges might on the day not give a verdict but set a date by which they will

Do not see how it will change anything at CCFC or provide leverage in any tenancy agreement at the Ricoh

Will these appeals and new cases ever end? Surely at some point somebody has to say enough is enough.

is this the American way of constant litigation until the claimee folds up and gives in?? I dont understand what benefit can be gained now even if the Judge turns over the decisions of, how many, 5 previous judges, I cant see that being a good advert for British establishment. its a complete waste of time and money.

Surely the Judge could dismiss this as a "Vexatious Claim" as having no substance.

Regards.

I guess they get to appeal the JR. Doesn't mean the appeal will be successful and the JR will be rerun. This is just an appeal to have the right to appeal the JR if I understand it correctly.

If they win all they win is the right to appeal. Its the appeal itself that they would need to win. If they somehow managed to do that then the only think I can realistically see them being able to do is go after CCC for compensation.

I imagine the threshold is lower to win the right to appeal. Despite every man and their dog warning them against it. They will probably win again. Then get a kicking at court be advised again to leave it at that. Pay the council's costs. Then start JR2. When they complete the full cycle again on that one. In about 2 years time when we are still in division three. They may walk away and we may get owners who want to spend that million pounds spent in court feeds on a playing squad that leads to a trebling In season ticket sales and dare I say it success on the pitch

Ruling reminder (Source CET)

"But a comprehensive judgment from judge Justice Hickinbottom cleared the council of any wrongdoing and said Sisu had deliberately attempted to distress withholding rent in an attempt to pick up a share in the firm on the cheap."

Are you any more an expert in judicial reviews than Tim Fisher?

In fairness to him he's stating the grounds on which the appeal is being made

No I'm not FP. I'm just going by the results and the stuff that came out in the JR case and it seemed pretty condemning to me.

I'm no fan of either party sisu or the council but it's seems clear there isn't a case and it's wasted money and I just pray it's not ccfc money but no doubts it is.

From his statement after the result of the JR was summed up by the judge I think its fair to say that most people are more of an expert on JR's than TF.

No more than you. Actually scrub that. I didn't suggest that SISU lost the JR on purpose.
