It's a no better plan than hoping wasps fail, in fact if wasps were to buy us, the whole group would end up in administration within 2 years. Or more likely they'll transfer all the debt in us then liquidate us.

Where do you get the idea we're only worth 2m?

From the assets in last years accounts

I was generous at £2M

Just a thought, but the squad is worth significantly more now surely? If Maddison is worth 10m, how can the club only be worth 2m as a whole?

It's like stock.
The value is when you sell it.

Yet you keep moaning about people "abusing you" because they have no better answers. Wouldn't be being a bit hypocritical would you?

Well you were discussing it as if they sold the club today. So my questions still stands. If Maddison is worth 10m as been quoted, how is the club only worth 2m?

Also let's factor in RCC, Stokes, Vincelot, Fleck even with 6 months on his contract being quoted at 200k, Lameires. Please do us all a favour and think things through before posting shit. Cheers

Is this the "speak bollocks and pretend I didn't understand" phase?

I wasn't talking about the metaphor, I was talking about the "abuse", you seem saying people insult / abuse you because they can't debate / don't have an answer.

It's not shit, you just don't understand accounting. Check the accounts.

I bought a horse for £3K, broke it in and schooled it to be a top show jumper that competes and beats horses valued at £30K.
On my books it is worth £3K.
If I sell it for £30K I will make a profit of £27K which will be subject to tax as an income.

He wasn't debating, he made another silly unrelated comment. Hence the metaphor.
You do know it wasn't a sensible comment, don't you ?

Doesn't really work like that. Anyway the £2m is a meaningless number. If SISU were to sell us for £2m it would be with the debt still in place. What you're really looking at is someone paying a £1 for the club and making SISU / AVRO a pence in the pound offer on the debt.

No one in their right mind is going to take on the club, at any price, and still have to service £60m of debt and no stadium. Only way that will happen is if a Cov fan becomes a billionaire and is happy to chuck the money away to sort the club out.

Aren't you suggesting SISU sell the horse for £3K?

How can a club with an asset of 10 million be worth 2 million? Are you seriously telling me that SISU would sell for 2 million knowing they could get 10 for Maddison? Maybe 2 million for RCC if he maintains a level of consistency until the end of the season. They could sell them two for 12 million and just liquadate? Then factor in the golden share value. You cling to certain info because it suits your argument. You put the club down at any given opportunity. Why don't you just become a full time wasps fan. There welcome to you!

Thing is I'm not an accountant and don't proclaim to be. I asked you a question Italia and you didn't answer it. Now if you have the answer why not answer?

Like Wasps? The bonds? Or is that different? Or is it a case of you don't care about Wasps as there not your club? But you have a season ticket and bought your family the attire?

If the horse is winning prize money to keep it's vet's bills, feed, tack etc so it isn't costing you anything. You wouldn't sell it for £3k would you? You would probably wait until somebody made you the right offer.

Eh? SISU, Avro, Otium, whatever random name they are using, are owed somewhere in the region of £60m. Whoever buys the club will still owe that, same as ACL still owed CCC when they were taken over by Wasps.

Now I don't believe anyone will pay that debt back as part of a purchase or will take the club on with that level of debt so it will be a case of how much they want to walk away and write the debt off and that's not going to be £2m. They could make more than that through liquidation!

No I'm saying thats the book value, any offer would reflect potential values but would certainly not cover Sisu losses.
Your other comments above are on the mark.

To be fair to them with what they're charging (not OTT for a Prem side) they don't need what some would consider being huge crowds. Get the impression they're more than happy with what they are getting.

Wouldn't be good PR for them to say anything else just atm however. They're in a position where success needs to beget success, and any hint of doubt would be an issue.

That's not to say they *aren't* happy, but I'd be amazed if noises were anything other than they were, even if it was all crashing down behind the scenes.

Didn't mean publicly but get what you're saying. I guess they'll look at each game year on year over a sustained period.

Even privately, they'd be fools if they said otherwise at present.

Too much at stake until they establish themselves to let any kind of doubt creep in.

Good to see a couple of phone in callers were lambasting the fact wasps were getting too much coverage. Even Nigel was sounding in good form on the topic.

No they got 16k for what was there biggest game of the season, a European decide winner takes all match. A match which a wasps fan described before as, playing Leinster is the equivalent of playing real Madrid in football.

To be honest any mention is too much for some fans.
I don't know where it was said that they are the biggest club in Coventry but in the smaller world of rugby they are a big team.

Didn't they get 22k for the same fixture last season, that's a 27% reduction within 12 months.
