This was a bogof deal game so most didn't have to pay for a ticket.

It looked fuller than yesterday, so 24,500 is about right.

Hope so. Another defeat might knock a few more off the time after too.

I'm not happy that we don't own the stadium but at some point you guys will need to accept we are stuck with them and like CCFC management work with them.

I remain positive on this and hold the 'hope' that both managements can work together for the mutual benefit of both clubs.
My only regret is that the 2 year deal was not longer as it is difficult now to push Wasps on personalising areas of the stadium.
However if you can get over the Wasps badges it does look more like ours than theirs.
I'm surprised there fans have not mentioned this in their forum.

Hopefully in the 2 years we can see the true plans for the club and all the legals will be over.

I understand we have to work with them Italia. Get all that, but they are a London club playing in Coventry and now in the guise of a Coventry club. I will always want them to lose and sincerely hope they are never successful here.

They are here and I accept that we have to work with them, but only in the best interests of Coventry City Football Club.

It does and always will irk me that some Coventry people have embraced Wasps so readily and to my mind you can't just bus in a club into a new city on a whim. The people of Coventry should reject them and not go up.

If only more people had scruples. Shouldn't matter how much you love rugby, people should be saying it's not right.

Northampton was entirely wrong and I had to turn my back on the club I loved for a whole season, but that was the right thing to do. Even if we had a game that could have meant promotion I would not have gone.

Us playing in Northampton was wrong and Wasps playing in Coventry is wrong and it will always be.

Us fans don't have to work with them. Ccfc management yes, us fans no.

The only thing in the stadium that looks like ours is the seats and our wall, that will change eventually. The front entrance looks like wasps, the signs inside the ground are bigger than ours, from what I understand all the cov memorabilia inside the ground / lounges, etc like legend lounge have been removed and replaced by wasps. I heard someone say that they had recently had a tour and wouldn't know we play here.

So us fans are allowed to not like them, our fans are allowed to take pleasure in their defeats. There is nothing that is fans can or have to do. It's is not us fans that have to work with them, so no we don't have to get over it.

They shouldn't be here, it is morally wrong, it will have a long lasting impact on both us and CRFC for a long long time.

Wasps out! Sisu out! Lucus out!

Thread started on their rubbish forum saying seats need ripping out and black and gold pit in.

As they own it should be entirely wasps branded.

Even Eastwood himself said the the other day he was surprised by the lack of opposition from local people over the move, he was shocked by how easy people rolled over and accepted it. He was expecting a much harder job to have to convince people.

It's because they "got one over" on SISU that people like them. Is it a coincidence that most who like them (in terms of city fans on here and social media) seem to be vocal people about SISU? ie the trust etc.

I suspect the cov fans that attend feel that way, and can't differentiate between sisu and the club. The non cov fans......well Coventry is the home of the bandwagon.

Just seen a comment on their forum that suggests we only dislike wasps because we're scapegoating them for what sisu did. Which is wrong on so many levels.

Just seen that thread, at least some of the fans seem reasonable.

Suspect Wasps branded seats would wind up more CCFC fans than the blue seats bother Wasps supporters. Looking at the Sky Blues forum, the seat colours seem very important to them. If it really means that much to them then it seems a small price to pay (or not pay!), personally would rather any money spent on a second big screen and facilities.

I think any changes should be made in discussion with CCFC.

One of the things I don't care about is the seat colour let them change it and keep spending lots of money as at some point they need to start paying the bond holders.

all of the people that go to watch them already had an established team in town why did they not go to watch them if it's all about the sport they have just jumped on the band wagon.

Yes the club have to work with them but I don't have to like it and one day hope they go back to London but while people support them this will take more time that it should be.

on the legals Italia they will only be over when Sisu have either won or have exhausted every avenue so I think it will be a lot longer than two years.

Everyone should have followed your example of protesting about it. Oh wait they did. You did FA and so did most others. I guess that makes you one of the people Eastwood was surprised by.

It seems people followed the example of fix football, teams shouldn't be moved protests by trying to be the first to wave a wasps flag. He probably saw thousands of people marching because their team was moved out of the city and expected something like that happening, so he got the trust in early to meet him and strangely the vocal ones seemed to change their moral they were so proud of.

Again, it comes down to PR. How many people would have been happy if the trust were shouting about how wrong it was as well as the CET? A good example was a guy on Twitter who was posting "Fuck off Wasps" when the news came out about the move, then some "positively spun" news was put up and he suddenly supports them....

I was going to the "protest" outside the council house after work before the night game. It changed that morning though. That was on a matchday though, probably why you must have missed it.

Sadly I think you're right. Personally I'm past caring what the outcome is I just wish it was done and dusted so it can be put behind the club and we can truly start moving forward without the baggage. But like you say I can see this running and running.

There was nothing stopping you picking up the baton and running with it or anyone of the other's who spend all there time winging about it while doing nothing. As far as I'm aware there was one on line petition against it (which I signed) but that was organised by a wasps fan not a CCFC. You have the skill set to set that up. Why didn't you? You could have approached the Trust to back it. Unless you know better I don't think the Trust met with wasps until after the takeover and even then it was to find out how it was going to effect CCFC. IIRC the minutes of the meeting were on the trusts website.

The trust weren't the only ones who stood by and done nothing. SISU apparently knew about it months in advance and were even telling fans in meetings that you helped organise I believe yet they didn't once bid for it despite the insistence of some on here that they were serious about buying the Ricoh. I guess that means that SISU were also some of the people that surprised Eastwood.

It's an isolated view though. A bit like you on here !!

If CCFC are not staying of course that will happen.
But if we can commit long term and get a 'great' deal from Wasps that benefits both of us in respect of getting and keeping both clubs at the top it will be a win win ....... surely ?

I would say that if we can eventually commit long term that Wasps will 'allow' us some customisation of the stadium.
Most people only see the colours of the team playing in a full stadium so it customises itself by defaut.
A 'few' will be looking for Wasps badges rather than the football but most don't care at the moment.

I appreciate your view but it is based on the supposition that CCFC want or could afford the Ricoh.
In fact Sisu have said they couldn't as it stands.

So in view of that your plan will be .....

...... CCFC and fans should prevent Wasps from being successful so eventually they will leave.
...... Sisu can then be almost certain that CCFC are the only clients and can continue the plan to get the stadium unencumbered.

Look forward to that !!

There will not be a long term deal in which it is a win win situation. Wasps are a loss making company, ACL is a loss making company with a £42m debt, and we are a loss making company.

Whatever the deal we all lose out.

And even if we signed a 200 year agreement, wasps will only want/allow us to make limited customisations. They will want and need to keep the wasps brand the more prominent as its about them creating and stamping their identity on Coventry.
