Radio 5 went to the commentary team on this game with the phrase "there's a lot of interest in this", well clearly not from WASPS or Bath fans, thats a shocking crowd but even the BBC are spinning the WASPS sucess story.

By the time the telegraph report it and the radio in the morning it will be a full house and an insect win.

i am still in a bad mood from earlier but the result and empty stadium has cheered me up a bit.

the only thing that has a lot of interest are the bonds.

Yeah they lost with only some freebies and bogofs watching.

At least some small comfort to all real CCFC fans.

I had had to drive past after their game and there were very few people around the ground.

Twitter is interesting. Fans of other teams don't seem very keen on them and are taking delight in ripping the piss out of them for playing in an empty stadium. Comments like 'bubble has burst', 'back to Wycombe sized crowds' etc.

Maybe thats the kind of high profile italia is talking about.

This is getting tedious but we seem to be missing the main stand crowd so for the counters here is my contribution.

I reckon that 9500 is about right having been there.

Indeed it is. The corporate seats that are "prepaid" for, freebies and bogofs and still they can't get 10,000 for an equivalent of a champions league fixture.

No wonder they are an absolute laughing stock.

Isn't it time you found something else to do? In two years time they will not even have enough to fill the Butts

If they stop the giveaways they haven't even got enough now. Perhaps they should consider a ground share.

Jeesus, the way you've been going on about the main stand every match I expected it to be close to full. Maybe slightly over half full that stand, rest of the stadium is about a fifth full.

7 to 8k max

It's not me saying it.
The numbers seem important to you and as your not there I'm helping you.
You need to see all stands if your the official SBT counter.
The match is on TV so a lot are getting drinks down stairs while the match is on.
Do you need me to make an estimate ?

No because you'd just be wrong anyway, just leave it to the official SBT counter.

Something weird is going on;the football club is 'off the radar' but still managing to pull in bigger crowds than one of the leading forces in European rugby?

Where is tisza? Maybe we need some more of his made up statistics to fight their PR war for them?

I don't see your point.
It's you bringing up who's the bigger club. No ones arguing with you.

They won't fail because they don't rely on one income stream. That's the whole point of them moving here.

They will only fail if they drop out the top flight and off the radar and the way Rugby is set up that is unlikely.

We, and you in particular, need to redirect your efforts and find out what Sisu are planning. But no, you keep attacking fellow posters who are all CCFC fans.

Brilliant. However, according to you we can survive perfectly well with one income stream.

Where have I said we could ?
As always you get it wrong !!
I'm saying we are where we are so what's best for us. Owning the Ricoh has now gone mainly thanks to Sisu.
It's a straight choice between staying at the Ricoh or building a new stadium.
Most (not you) are pushing for the figures, but hey, you carry on hitting the easy targets in your same ignorant way !!

Interesting to see italia is now agreeing that Wasps are inflating the attendance figures.

Erm, yes it is.

Isn't that the stand that you would see if watching on TV? I think it is which means that's the stand people are looking at and then taking the piss about Wasps playing in an empty stadium.

So why do you say we wouldn't be able to run the Ricoh in L1?

Come on Italia, that isnt true by a long way. They could fail for a number of reasons as can many buisnesses. To say they couldnt is just rubbish.

Aye, because if that was the case they wouldn't have been failing and needing to move to Coventry in the first place.

I look forward to the CT comparing and contrasting the crowds if CCFC achieve a gate of double that of Wasps over the Christmas period.

Because they did the exact same thing around this time last year. I thought that's what they did.

Only a one way street on that one Fernando. As for the crowd and Italia's video, it doesnt tell you too much as there only sounds like 1 person clapping near him. Could just be the two of them in that stand!
