So if you accept Sixfields was a temporary arrangement and you didn't believe a new ground was being built where do you think we'd be playing then?
At the time I didn't know what to believe. The merry go round of false dawn after false dawn of new announcement coming in X number of months, badger poo, generic drawings trying to be passed of as plans, no desire to explain the numbers and rounds of FOI's. That's called the benefit of hindsight. Something that the people who gambled by going to Sixfields didn't have, the same as us who didn't go. The only difference being we chose not to gamble with the future of our club and it leaving the City permanently.
Something you once shared before changing your mind and going to Sixfields anyway.
That's called the benefit of hindsight. Something that the people who gambled by going to Sixfields didn't have, the same as us who didn't go.
I'm not replying using hindsight though, saying what I thought at the time which I also said at the time too.
It suddenly seems everybody believed everything SISU ever said.
Where was it confirmed we were moving to?
As I have said, when / if it was announced I'd have judged it then depending on where it was. If it was 35 miles away, I'd have been done for good. Which I said at the time.
If they had announced they had bought land in Hinckley and started building a stadium, I wouldn't have gone any more. If they had said Sixfields is for good, I wouldn't have gone.
Its all about distance not franchise. I can walk up to the Ricoh.
Still struggling ?
It would have been to late by then. You'd already have endorsed a move out of the City by going to Northampton. You'd only have had yourself to blame by that point.
Why would you take that gamble with the club you love?
Do you believed a new ground was possible and a serious consideration did you?
This is a truly fascinating insight.
You have zero objection to franchising.
So if you were a Coventry fan living in walking distance of Sixfields you would have been jumping from the ceiling and purchased a season ticket.
I'm not struggling now - I see where you are coming from
Anyone with a single brain cell in their head new a new ground would never happen
To be fair I can now see why Tony the Troll was in mental turmoil.
No, I would have put up with a temporary move. I wouldn't have endorsed a permanent move hence I wouldn't go. There is a difference.
But by going you've already given them a mandate to leave the City. The temporary move to Northampton was always sold as a permanent move out of Coventry and you voted that you didn't mind in principle with your feet. The fact that you didn't have a clue where the permanent move out of Coventry would be to only makes your decision worse. I voted that I did mind with my feet. Why would you do anything but the latter?
Coventry City can confirm temporary home fixture arrangement with Northampton Town
Was it? Wasn't the headline:
There was nothing to say it would be permanent was there? Unless Tim Fisher was telling the truth when he was spouting off?
If there was an article at the website confirming we would never ever come back, I wouldn't have gone.
It was sold as a temporary move wasn't it? Hence the headline / article saying it was temporary when announced.
You thought it was permanent, it was what you thought would happen. I didn't think it was permanent, as it wasn't ever confirmed as full time. If they had made an announcement saying they had started building a stadium in Rushden or Hinckley then I would have then voted with my feet and never gone. Simple really.
It is just a shame some still vote with their feet now we are back at the Ricoh, ay?
Back to trying crap humour then?Denial isn't a river in Africa you know.

Where's the announcement and confirmation rather than posturing from a person most say can't lie straight in bed? Did he confirm where?I'd say try reading the SCG minutes from the meeting on the 28/05/2013 of the website. As you know they are always posted on the clubs website first and then other bodies such as the SBT are free to publish them I believe. Anyway, I guess that the club only archive them on there for a set period of time as they're not on there anymore. Anyhow TF confirmed that SISU were moving the club out of the City in that SCG meeting and that would have been on the clubs website at the time. So tell me again why you went to Northampton?

I went to support my team and watch them play football.
Was there an official announcement then? Where were we moving to?Whether you believe him or not is besides your point. He's an official of the club and he said it at an SCG meeting in his capacity as an official spokesman of CCFC with the authority to not only say it but also be part of making it happen.
The minutes of this meeting would have been on the clubs website and approved by the club I'm sure you'll agree. So it was officially on the clubs website.
If you want to see it for yourself I believe that the minutes are still on the trusts website

So he isn't a liar then? Or is he? What's the issue with him?
That's it Nick you keep moving the goal posts. You said if it had ever said on the clubs website that we were never coming back you wouldn't have gone. I've just proved that it was and now you're moving the goal posts.
Why don't you just admit you didn't see it at the time but had you you wouldn't have gone. I can accept that not everybody reads every single item and page on the clubs website.
But you keep changing your own goal posts.

Isn't this the guy that everyone ripped the piss out of and laughed at?
You say you believed what was said? I believed it - as much as building bridges when the gate was shut
I said it doesn't matter whether I believe him.

Well yes it does = I really would give this up.
You are even making yourself look more stupid than Italia. It is becoming embarrassing.
Give it up and try something else -- like commenting on a football thread, you may enjoy it.
Are you going to tell me what your SISU should win but won't conspiracy theory is or are just saying it so you can't be wrong. Well, in your mind anyway.
So if we all knew for certain we were never coming back to Coventry 2 questions.
1) What is the location of this new stadium
2) Where are we playing now
Well yes it does = I really would give this up.

I'm bored.
I'm bored.
So by the logic the Brighton fans who went to Gillingham are to 'blame' for the Amex?
