I'll leave the playing Dumb to you. When Wasps starting showing a real interest in the Ricoh it was empty and available. So what you're suggesting is with your "example" is that Glasgow ladies will have the stadium built for them by the local authorities and then vacate it and move 35miles away in an ill fated, ill advised attempt to wrestle controll of the stadium Wasps will then go, Hey this stadium in Glasgow is available and as it was built for a ladies team it has much more potential for income than staying at the Ricoh let's up sticks and clear off. Never going to happen is it.

No that's not what I'm saying at all. I am saying that at some point in the next 250 years there is a slight possibility that another stadium may become available to Wasps. If it does they may decide that is a better option and move again. Not sure why you've fixated on one possibility of a new stadium in Glasgow.

Look back over the thread.

You stated that a move from Coventry would never happen. NW replied that it would happen if it was more profitable to go elsewhere. You then asserted that couldn't happen as there would be no other places in the country suitable. NW suggested Belfast and Glasgow, of course that doesn't mean they are the only two places. You then agreed that both those locations had potential for a future Wasps relocation. But you insisted that there would be no possibility of a stadium ever being available.

I pointed out several possibilities that I found in a matter of minutes but you refuse to accept that there is even the slightest possibility of any stadium anywhere in the country being available to Wasps at any point in the next 250 years.

You've now started saying that it has to be a brand new stadium being built to not be used and left empty! Why? What if Rangers go bust and Ibrox is empty? What if the SFA don't renew their contract at Hampden?

skybluetony176 said:
You're suggesting it's a posibility. How? Several things would have to happen. wasps would have to buy CCFC, a stadium somewhere else in the country would have to become available, the stadium would have to be a larger capacity than the Ricoh for it to have more potential, it would have to have more seperate income streams than the Ricoh so more than a Hotel, conference facilities, casino, exhibition hall etc for it to offer more potential, the move would have to be sanctioned by the relevent governing bodies of both sports not only in the country they're leaving but also the country they're arriving in as you're suggesting Scotland for it to happen and each thing is even more unlikely that the one before it.

Of course its a possibility. Others are suggesting Wasps should buy us, something I would not want to happen. However if it did all it would need is for a better option to come along for Wasps and they would be off. It doesn't have to be a bigger stadium. What if they can't make ACL profitable and have small crowds? A better option may in fact be a smaller stadium. The rugby authorities how shown little concern at relocating clubs and there is nothing to say they would have to take us with them, we could be cast aside as we are not their primary concern.

All I am saying is that there is a possibility, no matter how slight, that the situation could change for Wasps leading to another move becoming a viable option. We're not talking about them moving next week we're talking about the next 250 years. I don't see how you can assert with absolute certainty that over that period there is not even the slightest chance of circumstances changing.

I'm not sure if you're just playing dumb or genuinely don't understand. The Ricoh wasn't build to be left empty until Wasps turned up was it? But situations change and that's what ended up happening. What you are asserting is that over the 250 year term on the Ricoh there is zero chance of a single stadium in the UK being available to Wasps. What about if we have another Commenwealth Games or Olympics? All I have said is if a better option presents itself to Wasps there is nothing to suggest they wouldn't move again.

In my scenario, which isn't really my scenario just a possibility, where have I said Wasps would move CCFC? Again it could happen or they might cast us aside. Wasps primary concern is Wasps and their own financial interests. If they became owners of CCFC and then later decided to move Wasps who is to say they would take us with them.

I am not saying it will happen or even that it is likely to happen just that it is a possibility. I don't see how you can rule that out. Things change and the situation years, decades or even centuries down the line may be very different to the one at present.

There's also the much more likely possibility that they would move Wasps to some imaginary stadium in cloud cuckoo land and leave CCFC at the Ricoh (or put the CCFC/Ricoh package up for sale).

You're clutching at straws for even suggesting it. There's no logical reason for even suggesting it and quite frankly it's a stupid suggestion. Not only that what ever chance you may think there is of CCFC moving to Hampden Park or wherever if Wasps took us over there is clearly an even greater chance of SISU doing that as unlike Wasps they don't have a 250year lease on a 32000 seater stadium and that's something you would never allude to. Funny that

To be fair, we could go back in time to when the Ricoh was built and suggest a similar story to what has actually happened and we would all call bullshit on that too! There are plenty of football clubs that have disputes with their landlords (Northampton), however most of them don't end up in the sorry state that we are in.... I doubt you would ever get a stadia to the quality of Ricoh come available, but it is not impossible that an Olympics or similar could happen north of the border and any stadium built would have plenty of interest from prospective tennants...

That's sort of my point. The circumstances around the Ricoh are quite unique, the chances of something like it happening again somewhere else in the UK are so slim it's not even worth considering. Add into the mix that the company who were able to take advantage of the Ricoh's unique situation are then going to abandon this situation that they're already in and trade it for an improved opportunity that doesn't actually exists is mental. It's beyond fantasy.

Despite numerous challenges to show me some of my "pro-franchise" posts you constantly fail to. Why is that?

Don't worry. There's clearly people on here dumb enough to take your unfounded claims at face value so you can successfully continue your desire to be grendulls preforming monkey boy.

So keep posting your claims, I'm really not bothered. If anything I'm glad to help you out in your quest to win Grendulls affections (or is that infections?). You might be pissing in the wind though, he's just admitted on this thread that he has images of me in his head. Just so you know I'm not interested so I won't be standing in your way. Good luck with it and make sure you let us know how that works out for you.

I live and work in the south of England so is it really a surprise that I know and interact with fans of London based clubs? Are you really so naive to think that some of their fans were angered about the move? You are the equivalent of a Northampton gan suggesting that no ccfc fans were angry when we were at Sixfields.

Your homoerotic imagery speaks volumes about your own desires more than mine, thanks.

You really don't read anything do you? I've said just in the last couple of days on this sub forum that SOME of their fans were bothered but on the whole the majority couldn't have give a shit and the wider Rugby community even less of a shit.

The reason I didn't believe you is because you said "mates".

You still haven't explained why you think calling you monkey boy is apparently anti Irish catholic.

For the record I was thinking more like in a Derek Zoolander way. Your know, you're wearing a little waistcoat and a little hat while holding symbols while Grendull throw's you bananas for being a good little monkey boy. Would I be right in thinking that you can't turn both ways?

Vile Tory views, yes. Vile UKIP views, no.

Three times this season thanks. I have children and we've had a Halloween party starting at four and just ended about 45mins ago. Is that OK with you or shall I hand you back my CCFC fan membership card? I assume you're in charge or are you just being an arsehole as usual. Only went to the hill twice anyway.

Did you not just read the post where I pointed out I've been three times so far this season? I keep asking you to show me where I've defended Wasps, something you've so far declined to do and with good reason. You can't. You're trying to elevate your status by trampling on others by ignoring what they say and making things up about what they have and haven't said. Didn't go to the game today and only got to listen to the first half on the radio before the aforementioned party started and haven't seen the highlights as yet and by the time I do I'll be looking forward to the next game so what will the point be in posting on it. I'm sure you, Sickboy and your fellow sycophants do think I'm a laughing stock. The mistake you've made though is thinking I give a shit.

So we see the latest sporting organisation to pitch up in another part of the country starting to get into difficulties in attracting the local population now that the giving of free tickets is stopped.

Today we see a 66% drop in attendance from its peak last season.

The local paper advised us that the previous low attendance was primarily due to the World Cup being on. Forgive me, as I am not a supporter of this rather provisional sport but I think the event ended prior to the fixture today. Indeed, given the assurances we have had from the local paper as to journalistic integrity I am surprised the author of the article did not point out that during the World Cup that one Midlands Club still attracted 20,000 fans to a fixture and another 12,000. Still we must be charitable and assume Google Search is switched off in office hours.

Now, though, we see a percentage drop of almost Sixfields proportions from the corresponding fixture. In normal sporting teams this is unprecedented. It is a news worthy item especially given that the local paper was very active when the attendances slumped with the local club.

So next week I look with interest at the paper and look forward to its articles exploring the reasons for this demise. For consistency I expect to see pictures of empty stands, editorials lambasting the morals of franchising and interviews with the Club exploring reasons for this incredible reduction in attendances.

We were assured last week of no bias and total impartiality.

So I know we will see these articles next week.

As attendances drop it must be good news for the football club as they will need us more and more if only to help towards the bond money, the Wasps telegraph will not say a word against them as they have to think about advertising revenues which will rise as they get more desperate for support.
