Yep, he dropped down to cardiff who were in Div 2 (league one for the kids), had a few injuries then had a stormer of a season with Graham Kavanagh in midfield got promoted to Div 1 (Championship). I think he was there for 6-7 years then went to Hartlepool.

Jon Stead. Had a great game today in one of the greatest ever FA Cup upsets. Scored a cracking goal and made all three others in the perfect target-man performance. I'd take him over all of the strikers in our squad-and I would have said that before his exploits today, too.


This thread is going to be a keeper, I reckon.

Lee Fowler has just scored on his League comeback for Crawley. Got to be better than Finch, hasn't he? At least he can tackle a bit. And was once voted the best passer in non-league football!
