I went on a Tuesday night about 2004/05, think it was a 0-0 draw and there was no more than that there

We went in I think 2008sh and we filled the top tier behind the goal, not sure how many that holds ‘possibly 1500, lower tier was closed.

I think we'll take similar numbers to Millwall as we did to QPR.

What was clear to me at Blackpool and QPR was the lacks of families compared to previous seasons. Lots of big groups of young lads. I can't see that lot not going to Millwall.

I’ve been to well over 500 away games (mostly on the train), and even more home games, and I can count the altercations I’ve had on one hand. You can’t always avoid the bell ends but if you try to the trouble you find yourself in is very minimal. I’ve seen plenty over the years but managed to steer clear off it.

Assuming 23 awaydays a season (plus a couple of cupties), that extrapolates to over 20 years of hardcore support.

Good work fella.

Agree with your point about trouble too. Only time I've seen it spill over to people who weren't interested was when Cardiff came to Highfield Road. Horrible cunts.

Good isn't it these days really ?

Let's be honest so far this season vocally it's been very impressive , Yes we do lack numbers of some bigger clubs however some very nice comments about us all over social media and on away day sites on Facebook too .

Would you say that as of today the away support is the best it's ever been at the club .

It's currently the best I can remember but it's been building for a few years now.

We've one of the better away followings outside the top flight surely now when you balance numbers with vocals

There are clubs with bigger numbers , but that doesn't mean better

Maybe it's because we've had twice as many away games as the other teams for years?

Dates back to late 80s and is possibly pushing up towards 600 maybe more, I was being conservative at 500, I had a spell when I only did home games at the turn of the century, due to saving up for my wedding and mortgage deposit. But I’ve been pretty much full on since 2003 ish barring COVID-19 I’ve only missed about a dozen ish league games in that time, due to illnesses, a funeral, a job interview, and a car malfunction one Tuesday night on my way to your place, we lost 4-3 but were never in the game, AA came out and fixed the car, but I sat there for an hour afterwards and listened it on local radio, because I knew if I set off home I’d lose reception .

Edit thinking about it the dates are a bit muddled up I’ve not been married as long as that but same thing apply’s

Hiighest away support at the weekend.

EFL Away Attendances at the Weekend – 30th August 2021 - Page 2 of 4 - Fan Banter

These were the top 5 away attendances for the Championship at the weekend… 1st) 2,700* – Nottingham Forest fans at Derby County (Total amount of miles between each club – 16.4, round trip – 33.4 miles, 1 hour and 3 minutes) 2nd) 2,453 – Bristol City fans at Cardiff City (Total amount of miles...

Club should be requesting Millwall away tickets in coming days. And importantly putting them up for sale with at least 2 weeks to go. Hopefully see them on sale in coming days.

It even used to be a piece of piss to get away tickets to the big teams & the big games when we were still in the premier.....clearly remember being spares available for Old Trafford, Anfield etc. in the 90s.....

...yet over the last few years on a few occassions I've been nervously checking priority sales to see if my meagre basic membership would be sufficeient to get me tickets at places like Forest Green, Accy Stanley & Bury.

Still a bit peaved about missing out on QPR.....although the 2-0 loss has softened the blow a touch....

Boro sold about 1,500 for our game - on general sale for them tomorrow. Should be a good attendance

So if we'd have had the extra 800 tickets to QPR, we would have had the highest away attendance last weekend?

Birmingham's numbers at Barnsley make ours look a lot less impressive.

I think the ticket situation didn't help the Barnsley away attendance for us .. 1 per member , have to reate account etc .

Blues generally have good support away anyway

They do. And the fact half of them cannot currently go St Andrews probably boosts their away. Imagine they will bring 5,000 to our place for the Tuesday night game, probably more.

The Birmingham numbers probably have something to do with 2 factors;
Won 5 nil last away day.
Which was also limited to 1k max at Luton week before.

Pent up demand.

Pretty sure they would have sold more had we been able to accommodate them.
