Managed to get two tickets for Plymouth. Dont get to many away games nowdays but because of the points system they wernt bought together so are in two different blks. How strict is the allocated seat thing ?

most people don't care but some folk can be sticklers for sitting in the correct seats

Largely depends on the away club too. Sheffield United and famously Leeds last year insisted on fans only going to designated gangways from the start, others are more likely to take a “sit where you like” attitude (although you won’t sit wherever you are).
My advice is to maybe head towards the area where one of the seats is allocated and don’t be a dick and you’ll be ok.

I may be in the minority but I get in early and sit in my designated seat.

One of the reasons is that I have my elderly parents with me so want to make sure they are settled.

The other reason is to avoid the mad rush of pissed up twats 5 minutes before kick off trying to find seats all together.

So, if you want your guaranteed seat get to it about half an hour before the kick off. If you are happy to take a risk, anytime.

Do you think as an idea the front row at away matches should be bookable by those with children who will otherwise not be able to see or the elderly who cant stand all game?

I do yes, especially as my parents are mid 70’s and standing all game is not the easiest.

HoW that would work from a ticketing perspective I don’t know.

Ask the mad hatters, they always seem to end up on the front row

The front row at away games seems to be a magnet for paedos. Be careful out there.
