One of my favourite bits of commentary on ifollow was hearing the, I think Middlesbrough, commentator backtracking after finding out the 22/23 shirt was a tribute to Coventry Cathedral that had been built after the blitz…having moments before said it was the worst kit he’d ever seen.
Well remembered…I think!Huddersfield iirc.
25th anniversary of winning the cup, released it after we drew Spurs away in the 3rd round. Possibly the most tinpot thing we've ever done.I dont remember that top one at all, what's the story to that?
I very nearly didn’t use the word “iconic” because everyone bloody uses it at the moment to describe things like sandwiches, appalling sets at Glastonbury and sunglasses. The brown kit is the business.
Iconic, it has to win.
Maybe it will be knocked out in glorious failure. Yet will forever be remembered. The brown kit is the business.
Iconic, it has to win.
Then didn't they use it the year after... because... well it saved wear & tear on the existing (limited) kit!I'm putting it out there that the material on the 11/12 FAC shirt is the worst material any football shirt has ever been made out of in the history of football shirts.
I would raise you the white 14/15 away kit.I'm putting it out there that the material on the 11/12 FAC shirt is the worst material any football shirt has ever been made out of in the history of football shirts.
Now, they had a kit.Maybe it will be knocked out in glorious failure. Yet will forever be remembered.
Think Brazil 1982.
A grey area. Never worn at home. You may disapprove of the inclusion of the 17/18 play-off final shirt in this competition too. Then didn't they use it the year after... because... well it saved wear & tear on the existing (limited) kit!
I would DQ at the last minute for being a home kit... then maybe it's last min replacement will do a Denmark & storm it.
Very good shout re: 14/15. Practically see through. Terrible terrible shirt.I would raise you the white 14/15 away kit.
Was brought it as a leaving gift... felt like wearing a paper bag.
Thankfully swapped it for the red 15/16 shirt for half price & a couple of match tickets. The club did some weird things in that time.
Cheers, though it's still not ringing any bells which is weird as i usually fix on this kind of random, useless info25th anniversary of winning the cup, released it after we drew Spurs away in the 3rd round. Possibly the most tinpot thing we've ever done.
It's in my top 5 away kits of all-time. Whelan and Huckerby vibes. Can't tell if 98/99 is horrendous and it's just pure nostalgia that makes me like it, but it gets my vote
I really like that one - simple but with a touch of class. Never noticed the thinness of the material. Only thing with mine is the Puma logos lost their colour in the wash a couple of years ago.Very good shout re: 14/15. Practically see through. Terrible terrible shirt.
You'll get chance to vote for it soon. You may be the only one who does thoughI really like that one - simple but with a touch of class. Never noticed the thinness of the material. Only thing with mine is the Puma logos lost their colour in the wash a couple of years ago.
A bit 'Marseille' now I think about it. And why not?
Don’t agree with the FAC shirt being classed as an away strip. You’d have to consider the playoff final top v Exeter too on that basis even though both are clearly ‘home’ strips.
It’s a home kit though, let’s be honest! It was too much of a mouthful to call it the Away/Third/Limited Edition/Anniversary World Cup, mate.

Defo HuddersfieldWell remembered…I think!
What about the yellow one coming up in a few groups tine?…the brown away kit is iconic. but i've always liked the red version as well.
how dare you put them up against each other so early. that should be the final, surely.
