i remember Bradford coming to the Ricoh last season with numerous big flags and club crests being waved in the stand. It almost gave the game a bit of a European feel. Just wondered if anyone has ever tried to start a fund to try and buy some similar stuff. I know our away support is already superb but just think something like that would help improve the atmosphere even

Flags? "We don't need no F#$%in flags"! I recall seeing Ian Brown a few years ago at that music themed shindig they do regularly down in Somerset. Clearly a bit miffed at the display he saw in front of him he got someone to chuck their flag on stage. He spent the next three or four minutes in a stuttering display of subversion by trying set fire to a very fire retardant item.
Pyromaniac he ain't but he does a good show.
I like flags, just not the obviously club sponsored ones. Looks a bit too corporate, or Stamford bridge if you know what I mean. I've got a 12 foot St George with old club crest dead centre, I used to take it away but depending where we were it could be difficult to display.
Doing the passing overhead thing was ok but trying to get it back sometimes could be a bit of a game.

Talking of flags, does anyone know if we can use the flagpoles
on the island near the Ricoh.

I agree the Bradford fans were very memorable and those big flags looked great.

at the Bradford game at half time i politely inquired to a steward about the flags & his reply was that they must all have been certificated & that with certification there was no reason why CCFC fans could not bring theirs

It depends what is on your flag to what kind of certificate you would need for it
