Hope you all enjoy my Away Day Review

I got the coach at 10.45AM from Spotland Stadium it set off at 11.00AM on the dot there were no service stops needed. We arrived at City of Coventry Stadium for 1.25 we then went in search of the Casino

We eventually found the bar at the Ricoh Arena as they refused to let any Dale Fans into the Casino it were a very expensive Menu as pictured my Cousin got a pizza for £7.50 it was well small

Then we decided to go into the Stadium as it were a long walk around to South Stand. i got in the ground for 2.42PM which were still expensive then went into the game my view were pretty impressive

The Match Kicked off, Rochdale were very impressive right up to 23rd Minute when Coventry City took the lead thanks to their loanee Dominic Samuel 3 Minutes later in 26th Minute Rhys Bennett were substituted for Calvin Andrew because of a injury 6 Minutes later in 32nd Minute Rochdale leveled tanks to an unstoppable by debut goal Callum Camps just 5 Minutes later in 37th Minute of the Match Coventry City went 2-1 ahead thanks to a goal from their other loanee Sanmi Odelusi 11 Minutes later 45+3 Minutes the whistle had went for Half Time

I had came back out just about Rochdale had equalised thank to a goal from Calvin Andrew in the 65th Minute of the Match 4 Minutes later in 69th Minute Ian Henderson were shown a Yellow Card just 3 Minutes later the Referee obviously on his time of the Month in 72th Minute also shown Stephen Dawson a Yellow Card, 3 Minutes later in 75th Minute Coventry City substituted their loanee goalscorer Sanmi Odelusi for Simeon Jackson just 5 Minute later the Referee decided to Yellow Card Coventry City's John Fleck in 80th Minute just a Minute later Callum Camps were substituted for Michael Rose in 81st Minute just 5 Minutes later the Referee couldn't stop showing Yellow Cards and carded Peter Vencenti in 86th Minute then Coventry City's Frank Nouble were Yellow Carded 90+1 Minutes into injury time the whistle had finally went in 90+3rd Minute for Full Time

I arrived back at Spotland Stadium for 7.19PM

My Man of the Match: Callum Camps (once again showed his class)

Performance: 9/10 Rochdale AFC

Sorry to hear you had one or two issues
The Casino as far as I know always used to allow away fans In
It did change hands and may have changed policy since our move away last year

If you want a good inexpensive experience next time (should we still both be in the same league) I suggest you contact one of the many Social Clubs In the vicinity who generally are very welcoming and close enough for a ten minute walk to the stadium

thanks for the right up. What were your thoughts on the match overall? I thought a draw was pretty fair result, and was impressed by your 2 centre mids Camps and Allen.

nice touch by the club doing a personalised thank you poster.

They have allowed away fans in at every game this season as far as I know, usually no issues and they always seem to get along no kids allowed though.

The prices were 4 Pound a pint & 2 pound a half it's made me appreciate my clubs bar more use to think they were expensive, i can also understand why your crowd is half of the 12K simply because the stadium owner prices out all the fans bet most of your fans enjoy the away games more than the home game's as they don't have to get loans out to watch them at home over a season no offense intended but probably every traveling fan also hates your stadium owner aswell

Callum Camps & Jamie Allen are both products of our youth system their both natural talents i can see them going onto bigger things if not this season the one after it, It were long awaited Callum Camps Debut Goal he would of scored on Bradford City but got fouled in the box, Jamie Allen is unique as well before he came into the first string, he stood out at the Reserve Cup Matches against the Big & Small Lancashire sides

I totally agree i think the last one of those posters i saw were at Home Park back in 2011

1, I've never known away fans excluded from the casino { unless they looked/were underage of course}
2, I like that little sign thanking the away fans for travelling 121 miles, nice touch !

Yes, I thought that. Never known a similar sign to that anywhere else I've travelled to see CCFC.

Why is it called the City of Coventry Stadium and not the Ricoh Arena?

The cost of beer has fluctuated this season at the Ricoh, began over £4 a pint, then dropped to around £3.80, now its back up to the "High Street price" of £4....

Is the issue at the casino that they don't let anyone in wearing replica shirts, home or away fans. Or am I just imagining that?

Either way, I'm not sure that the Rochdale lads missed much, I hate the casino for drinking personally - no atmosphere, expensive fizzy beer only, and slow service. A decent bar on the Ricoh site would make a killing. Bring back Strikers!

Your Olympic Stadium name (City of Coventry Stadium) sounds far better than some franchised Gigg Arena name (Ricoh Arena)

Thanks for taking the time to send us your write up. Always interesting to take in the other teams perspective.

Glad we don't have to play you again this season, we never seen to do well against you. Good luck for the rest of the campaign, you won't have to worry about us threatening your place in the play offs that's for sure.

I don't mean this offensively but in my head, I began to sub-consciously read your article in a deeper version of Peter Kay's voice.

Those prices are pretty standard for a bevvy to be honest, maybe 30p too expensive. Cheaper up north.

Whilst technically you are correct we've only played them 10 times ever.
