If Sunderland win the play offs we can top that next year.

Is away average the teams coming to CBS or our away support?

It’s our away support.

Average number of away fans at the CBS is 2,091

The away figures are a bit nonsensical to be honest, there are many occasions this year when we would have taken thousands more if the tickets were available. Same could be said for other clubs. Away fan provision has changed a lot over the years.

There are also many occasions when we didn't sell the full away allocation, eg Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Blackburn & Preston

To be fair, I think you could replace the 'many' with 'some'. I think we sold out the majority.

Yes that's fair, there may have been others that we didn't sell out so I only quoted the ones I knew about

Really annoyed we didn't reel Sheff U in on the overall attendances list. We were getting closer week on week towards the end.

Apparently they're struggling to sell the tickets for their play off semi

Yeah saw that, it'll be interesting to see if they sell their Wembley allocation if they get through.

Would that be an indictment of poor support though or many people struggling with the cost of living? Sheffield is hardly known for being the most salubrious city.

You could say the same for Coventry.

More likely it’s an entitlement when they thought for 4/5ths of the season they were going straight up. Playoffs is now a major disappointment. Still not sure why you wouldn’t sell out though if you think you are the best team in the playoff 4.

The northern teams all take 5K plus to Blackburn & Preston which is where our average drops.

We always get Blackburn (with its massive 7k allocation) on a bloody cold winters mid week night

MK Dons was always a good one for boosting our away average in years gone by. Didn't we take 7,500 there in the year we played at Northampton, where our support was only about 2,000?
