Am I the only one who barely knows any of the lyrics of this thing?

I know 'May old acquaintance be forgot and then ...........' erm.... that's about it, apart from the chor us 'For auld language syne, my dear, for old lang syne'.

I know a lot of people don't know all the words, but I can't even get to the end of the first line.

Am I alone?

Always found it a bit strange and creepy. Standing in the dark with flame torches surrounding you, shaking & holding hands in a peculiar fashion, whilst singing an ancient song that very few people know the words to. Seems like some odd cult. Makes me think of the Stonecutters in the Simpsons.

My missus is on the phone from 7.30ish until around 11pm.

Russia 3 hours ahead you see and she wants to talk to her family.

Stops us doing anything on New Year's Eve, but I totally understand and accept it.

Just one of those things.

I keep listening out for any mention of Wiltshire and not heard anything yet, though I'm sure I've heard the word 'idiot' a few times.

I just guessed they were talking about Donald Trump or Boris Johnson.
