Attendences (1 Viewer)

Iv noticed people saying "a new manager will rise attendance at first then drop off"

Personally, the only time we get a good attendence is if
A) a big team comes to the Ricoh
B) we are winning day in day out

And personally B is the only thing that will keep the club afloat, the club count season ticket holders in the official attendance if they go or not.

So my question is, do people go to as many games they can at home? Or are people waiting for Coventry to start doing well before they go back?

I think the attitude is I will go to the Arsenal game, if we lose that I'm never going again until we get another big team in the cup...

Personally I don`t think the Gates will ever rise substantially ............ decades of dross has seen to that .
We have lost thousands of people due to years of underachieving .
I only keep going myself out of some sense of duty .
City probably have a hard core support of around 8500 to 10000
This Season looks like it will test this figure even further .
We have to be amongst the most loyal fans anywhere .
God knows why we keep going up ...... but we do .

Keep taking the Medicine ....... or is it the Tablets ??

If someone like Dennis Wise or Dion came in I think the crowds will increase by at least 1,000 a game at first.

The likes of Blackwell, Brown, Ince or Megson and they will stay the same.

The attendances were respectable enough when we first moved across to the Ricoh ,however I think we could have made more of it,but guess we just did'nt have the dosh. The decline from that point is self explanetory in relation to performance ,add in fan alienisation with the Ricoh experience ,over zealous stewarding etc ,resentment at club not having share of take ,squad decimation last year and 15k. does'nt look so bad IMO.

All down to the playing IMO - casuals just aren't going to pay for entertainment that just isn't remotely entertaining

I agree. I'm on the brink of quitting, never ever thought i'd get to this stage. It's not for the usual 'excuse' reasons.

Ricoh is too far etc.

It's because time after time it's ruining my day and it's complete and utter shit. The amount of money I waste on it is unreal.

See you at the next game though no doubt

Agreed.. a total waste of time, energy, free-time, money, emotion, petrol, shirts, pies and effort.... you'd have to be insane going back time and time again.. see you there

(Do they do CCFC Straight jackets in the club shop? Might be a money-spinner)

If we beat Arsenal then do well away at Oldham, suddenly we'll be world beaters and will get a 5k increase against MK Dons on the tues to around 14k.
