I will be there and I was going to bring an extra person along with them season ticket midweek game vouchers but the normally vacant seats next to where we sit are taken

11,075 I reckon. I had a spare ticket and for the 2nd time in a row, the first 4 people I offered it to said no, generally because they find the prospect too depressing!

I think we could drop below 11,000 depending on how many away fans there are.

@Andy you can still take an extra person to the game, there will be plenty of free seats to pick from doesn't matter that specific seats are taken.

Don't forget you're allowed to street park @events under 10,000 ,so don't throw you're £10 the way of the vultures:facepalm:

Reminds me of the Jasper Carrott joke about poor attendances," I said to the bloke stood next to me at half time, OYYYY"

I loved that joke. Jasper told it really well live, with the gentle lead up to the deafening "OIYYYY!"

Remember the really bad Detectives special that was something to do with missing Birmingham in the Cup Final because they'd been tied up?

Why is it interesting how many fans turn up? I mean does it really change anything?

Attendences are down all over the country not just the Ricoh is affected, and a good proportion of people dont get paid until Friday (end of the month) so wont be able to afford to go to the game.

Add to this City are in the relegation zone its not an attractive game to pull in the stay aways.

It will be a warm night for central Uk and that should improve the prospects. Blackpool are always an entertaining bunch under Holloway.
i think we might break 12k or so...

I'm sure the players must walk out the tunnel and be affected with a stadium 1/3 full?
Our support is woeful, how have we dropped from an average of 16,500 last year to 12,000, where have them 4000 gone surely haven't stopped going just cause of sisu?

I think we have lost 4,000 from last year because of a combination of recession/cuts and SiSU. Other than the dedicated who would roll up with their £24 tonight, having paid for parking, petrol/busfare etc, probably in need of some food and a drink { obligatory, these days to sit in that souless bowl} and to watch a spirited but inexperienced team try and compete while all the time having the knowledge we are in a never ending downward spiral of decline?

It was 12309 on Saturday with 1000 from Reading - midweek would expect Blackpool to bring half that at best, there is Champions league footy on tv both Man City and Manure on, not a great performance on Saturday, less freebie school attendances for midweek game, no excitement around the club or team so I expect a drop of a 1500 from our support at least so anything above 10,500 will be a pleasant surprise. Unless results start to improve the trend is only going one way - at the end of last season we were playing bright attacking football but this season we have become far more defensive, still not hoofball but its not the cavalier attacking stuff we were treated to by AT at the end of last season. Obviously this is down to personnel etc but the only way we are going to bring fans back without investment (which is the scenario we are faced with) is to start playing brighter more exciting football and hope the results follow, at present we are playing possession football with no end product and its very frustrating and slightly dull.

Me and My old man will be there as well. I reckon the attendance will be close to what it was on saturday, but not much different.

And am hoping the lads give us a good game again, but winning this time. I'm going for a 2-1 win.

That may be a little harsh Ashby, I don't think the product on the pitch is the problem, its not too bad really, its the fact that everyone is aware that we are so threadbare that even that can't last. It will only take an injury to Juke, Clingan or Cranie and we'd be in trouble. Its the long term despair that keeps folk away, that feeling that we just can't compete without real investment...............coupled with the fact that people are skint as well.

Many pay on the day folks can't afford 2 games in a few days added to all the other factors previously mentioned, my guess 11,000 or less.

Nope. Not mystery shopping.

What really made me smile last week with this poxy job I did was the fact that I had to buy a pair of socks for 5 quid, which the store put into tissue paper then into a cloth bag and then into a really posh heavy duty designer paper carrier bag with a seal on it. Well, someone who I know saw me from a distance in the shopping mall with it who knows I am stony broke. Should have seen the look of their face when they saw this designer carrier bag and me just leaving the shop.

Yesterday I spent the whole day filling application forms in.

I agree.

Even when expectations are low, you do need a bit of optimism to keep some level of interest going. At the moment that doesn't seem to be there - I think there's a feeling that if we started to do well it'd only be seen as a chance to sell the players who were performing.............

Having said all that - I'll be there tonight
