Burton are bringing a large following - probably 2000, so win against Walsall and we should expect 18000 for that one
Walsall midweek will be nearer 14000

I notice the CT felt the need to include a comment re. Kids for a quid. No mention of free, tickets, booze, transport etc. with regard to Wasp attendances.

Which is a legitimate comment to make regards the attendances!! why the hell would they mention what the wasps are doing? Talk ccfc, so bored of all the other shite people try to crow bar into anything discussed!!

We (Walsall) will bring around 1,500 next week. We sold our allocation for the cup game on Saturday and all the chat is about the "Dean Smith Derby" rather than our game against you.

might surprise you given how the table looks and the modern world's view of league versus cup. Always been the same at Walsall though. From our 1933 win over Arsenal onwards, the town gets excited about the cup and really struggles to motivate itself for the long haul of the league. Biggest following I was ever in at your place was for a second round league cup game in 1984 (which we won).

Hope it is a big crowd next Tuesday. Ricoh has been a pretty flat experience in our visits there so far so it would be good to see the place with more occupied than unoccupied seats and a bit of bounce to the whole place.

looking forward to it.

Anything less than 25k would be a complete disaster for this once-proud City

Just had a quick look on quick seats for both Walsall and Burton games. Burton game has sold slightly more. Looks like 2 decent crowds. Atmosphere a lot better now we are bunched together.

I don't read any wasps articles, so it matters little to me what they say about them. If they hadn't mentioned the kids for a quid game, the CT police on here would undoubtedly have picked them up on it...don't you agree Nick?

I'd be disappointed if we don't break the 51k record, and with another 20k locked outside.

It's ridiculous! It would be so easy to just move the match to Wembley! Piece of piss, job done and we would also fill it completely.

Just once again highlights the incompetence of Sisu!!

Completely agree with this comment re; the Ricoh...

But isn't that like most league one home grounds, I mean the Bescot is one of the most soul less atmospheres I have experienced and you beat us?

Wont argue at all with that. When we built our big end (oo-er) it killed it as it split the singing end horizontally in half and put a big high roof on it which means any noise gets lost in the sky. Nice in there for a pint but awful for creating an atmosphere. But, for the rare big days and nights it can still bounce when everyone is up for it and loud enough for upstairs to join in with downstairs and vice versa.

i hope next Tuesday is one of those nights at your place (for a while at least).

I had to get tickets for the Sheff United game over the phone as student tickets weren't available online and it took me about 6 lunch hours and I never got through. I ended up emailing the ticket office and then one of them kindly rang me back. Not sure if you've tried this already but might be worth a shout?

WARNING below is a rant.

Hi all . Long time viewer virgin poster here . Please be gentle

Moved away from cov in 1982 age 13 .thankfully never lost the love or need to see my team (exc sixfields ) . Along with brother .son .nephew & sometimes wife we travel quite regular from the east coast. Now we've never had problems before getting tickets because gates were so poor. Now at last we are moving in the right direction.I feel it is now crucial at this stage that the club make it as easy as possible for supporters to support our team.

I booked on line on Tuesday night for Walsall & Burton but even at but even at that early stage it's far from straight forward. The only way we can sit together is in the front few rows I've never liked this because
1. The view is poor.i like to sit above the action & get a true sense of the pitch & positional play.
2. If it pisses down with rain we have to get back in the car soaking wet & travel for 3hrs.

If the club get things right now the sky really could be the limit.FFS it can't be that difficult.Once they no demand is there open the 1st 2 blocks in the north stand & so on.Let fans pick their seats.

It must be better to have 19000 cov fans & 700 empty seats around the perimeter than 16000 in full blocks with many in seats they don't care for.
Come on city it's currently a joy to watch. Now make the passage of entry as simple as possible.

My love is true
My grammar is terrible
My sentiments are genuine

Welcome!

I'm assuming they wait til they sell a certain number of tickets before opening up blocks in the north stand. Have you already bought your tickets? If you haven't I would suggest waiting it out a bit until they open extra blocks - which im sure they'll do considering the hype for this game.

Welcome to the site.

I think the issue will be that the tickets are selling out well, they don't open up new blocks until other blocks sell out.

You could have left it a couple of days until they open up another block and then get them further back.

I don't mind they way they sell it block by block, it fills the seats more and gives a better atmosphere.

I had the same problem for the last home game had to wait until they opened another block.

The strange thing is that the block we wanted was not sold out, but would not let us have those tickets........

I will go back the next day but the occasional supporter might not.
When they only have a couple of rows left they should open another one to give people a choice, funny but why is it always the front row that is left?????
Because they are the worst seats to most of us.

Was told on the phone and then again on visiting the Butts office that they only had front row seats left.
Went back the next day when they opened another block and got better seats.
On the day of the game the first block had 5 or 6 rows only half full strange.

If you haven't already purchased there's plenty of choice now.

Blocks 16, 17, 18, 21, 22 all have 5+ seats together that aren't towards the front for Walsall.

For Burton blocks 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22.

The front 5 or 6 rows were half empty on match day because, the fans who were allocated those tickets just got up and probably sat in the blocks opened on the day in block 25 , 26 , or 27. So far this season not one steward has checked tickets. You can practically go for a wonder anywhere.

Arctic blast predicted for Tuesday, just in time for this match.
Stupid decision from FL to insist on quick rearrangement.
Imagine how big the crowd would be if they picked a midweek in March or April when there are only a couple of midweek fixtures scheduled.

Exactly this give people a choice. If someone goes online for tickets they should be able to pick them.If they can't well a thousand things can happen between now & match day.Dont get me wrong I bought the tickets were going two by two..Its not about us though we will always be there. Its the more ,how do I put it,lost fans who are starting to wake up.Please don't risk putting
