It's gone so downhill this season. Singers Corner is not what it used to be.

Away from home we've not been great either. The second half at Hull is the only time this season I can think of it being rocking.

Think it has alot to do with us not playing very well and as for last night it was fucking freezing few more wins and it should get rocking again.

Thought it was a bit better last night though there were some really quiet spells

I thought it was a lot better last night, especially considering it was a cold, night game with small away following. Felt like it got a bit nervy second half but overall better than it’s been for a while

It's hardly deserted but Singers Corner used to be packed to the rafters. There's huge gaps throughout. If everyone sat down it would be half empty in some areas.

In 16, I nearly have a row to myself this year. Last year you could hardly move.

We've won two on the trot and it's not really improved.

Millwall was ok, but nothing compared to some of the away games last year.

If we beat Ipswich,, it will be rocking (plus I'll be there with copious amounts of lager in me, to ensure it is!)

Must be very high or low, as where we are it’s just as packed as it was, with morons gathering on the stairs still.

I’m in block 14 and I must admit it’s a crap atmosphere. Compared to the last couple of seasons it’s shocking.
Its full of spotty kid’s eating haribo and giving it large .
The whole match day experience has now gone for me .

It's not the spotty kids that are the issue with the atmosphere.

There's an awful lot more elderly and families in the corner.

Not convinced personally and I'm not sure why we need to be on a run to have a good atmosphere.

Pure coincidence that it’s got better as the team have performed better? Of course fans are better when football is going well. Who wants to start up a chant when you haven’t touched the ball for ten minutes and are 2-0 down?

I don't think it's got any better after these two results.

We used to get behind the team at 2-0 3 years ago. I know it was post-covid but it was almost a thing where the fans would keep going.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I did take pride in the support in the past few seasons. I'm convinced we were one of the best at home in the country. It's not even close to that.

It wasn't really rocking at Millwall.

It was decent but even Twist and Shout isn't getting going anymore.

The thing I noticed at Millwall on Saturday was the number of fans/people who just wanted to abuse the Millwall fans in the corner. It got worse in the second half, you could see loads of grown men, and also young boys constantly giving it the wanker sign/two fingers, and singing ‘how shit are you’ and ‘Millwalls a shit hole’, ‘Millwall get battered’ etc etc etc. The bloke in front of me, I’m thinking in his fifties, never stopped. Maybe I’m getting old, but I wasn’t comfortable with it, would rather we just supported our team.

Always going to get that. It's weird if it's constant.

Everyone around me at Millwall in the top tier were stood in silence until Sakamoto scored.

It's gonna be something to do with the reorganisation within the stadium I guess, there are definitely gaps that are visible from the north stand.

They took hundreds of tickets off sale in the corner. I know people who had to move their season ticket from the end seat of the row.

So frustrating. Hopefully the safe standing sorts it.

Give it a chance mate! The game was only last night, we haven’t played since, so the atmosphere can’t be any better!

We’d just spent four years winning trophies and climbing the leagues and then were denied a party for getting into the fifth biggest league on the planet.

All that culminated in last season, for the first time we’ve had to seriously weaken our squad and we’ve also done shit like fuck about with pricing and fan location.

Like the team I think a lot has been reset and needs to be built again through success.

Not necessarily and it shouldn't be. Should get behind them regardless.

We have a lot of fans who used to parade our support last season...

???

The fans feed off the players as much as the players feed off the fans. There's going to be a natural dip when what we were being served up was low tempo sideways passing with no threat while the defence let the other team have a field day.

It's how it has always been and likely always will be at the football.

We're two separate entities - They do their shit and we do ours. I've never bought into this 'need for motivation from what's going on on the pitch'. That's lazy. If you've gone out of your way to put aside a few hours on a Saturday afternoon (?) The least you should be doing (in varying degrees) is making a bit of noise regardless as to what's going on in front of you.
I've envied some clubs supporters who adopt that attitude even tho they are being served up a pile of tosh.
I've known blokes who have had seasons tickets for as far back as I can recall who I've never known open their mouths at the game bar from cheering a goal (meekly even at that) this from being in their twenties now up to late fifties even early sixties. It's as though they are (have been) just going through the motions!

Great post. We used to make a great noise away from home in League 1 and 2 no matter how we were playing.
