Ricoh would’ve erupted for a late winner today. Not sure why people would think otherwise.

Can you point out where anyone has said it wouldn't of?

Was very poor (due to attendance) on Tuesday and poor again today (apart from last few mins)

It’s not home. I know it annoys people on this site, but i make no apology, I want to be back home.

Birmingham is easier to get to, has better pubs, has a better after game experience but it’s not Coventry and we are ccfc !!

Who gets annoyed by people saying we should be in Cov?
3 or 4 people on this thread have agreed with you and only voice of reason said we should stay there but he didn't sound annoyed just merely offered an answer when the question was asked.

Do people just make shit up in their head?

After the winner though, it put the Ricoh to shame.

That doesn't say the Ricoh wouldn't of erupted does it?
It says it put the Ricoh to shame after the equaliser but was flat before that.

Personally I think the Ricoh would have reacted the same but my point still stands.

Choice of words, nothing more. Very intrigued to hear how it put the Ricoh to shame...

Because it was incredibly loud for the last 5 minutes.
Personally I think the Ricoh would have been very loud in the circumstances.

Although St.Andrews puts the Ricoh to shame on almost every metric you want to measure them on except for the main one, it's location.

Yeah. Everyone is entitled to their own view but I would say the general consensus is that SA is a better match day experience.
Would still rather, and still think we need to be back at the Ricoh.

Out of interest, in which areas do you think the Ricoh is superior?

The Ricoh is superior in almost every way I can think of,
- More modern, better car-parking safety arrangements (as at StAn the cars are too close to pedestrian entrances).
- Wider turnstiles, more spacious walkways, superior toilets (certainly more and better spaced for the women)
- Wider aisles and less congestion in entrances to seating.
- More kiosks for food and drink.
- Can never recall being frisked at the Ricoh (female), have been at StAn
- A club shop with more than a few shirts.

StAn is better for boozers who like the amount and types of pubs nearby. In other respects it beats the Ricoh only because there are only 6000 of us - I can get a programme easier and I can book a cheap car park.

I am enjoying being at StAn as
1) It is only 10 miles from my house, the Ricoh is 30 miles.
2) It is cheap to park and the Season ticket was cheap.
3) Novelty value
4) We keep winning.
5) The pitch is better.

Which was a joke by the way. Agree with pretty much everything you say about the practicalities of the Ricoh vs StAns, but still prefer the match day experience at the moment.

For the avoidance of doubt I’d rather we were in Cov.

there may be more kiosks at the Ricoh, (which I'm not sure is correct), but the fayre and the service is appalling.
As for the toilets being superior, again, that's debatable as far as the mens are concerned anyway.
Interesting about being frisked, I'm assuming it was a female steward that frisked you? Personally I'd rather be frisked once on the way in than have my ST checked 10 times while I'm in the ground but that's just my personal opinion.

In general the stewarding pisses all over the Ricoh and that will never change for CCFCs games because the mantra is all football supporters and scum compared to their rugby counterparts.

Don’t we supply stewards? I always assumed they were employed by CCFC, is it the stadium that supplies them?

I did wonder that myself, I saw a female steward Saturday who I'm fairly sure worked at the Ricoh but didn't recognise the fellas outside managing the queues and doing the searches who were locals, (though that doesn't mean they couldn't work at the Ricoh).
Their attitude is definitely different that's for sure.

Surely some must be contracted by the same lot - they are also away from home !

I think there are a few CCFC stewards mixed in with Brum ones. Most of them seem to be Brum stewards but there are CCFC ones dotted about.

I agree the stewarding is good but personally I had no complaints at the Ricoh.
Yes it was a female steward. I object to being frisked actually but no matter.
I don't know where you sat at the Ricoh but I was rarely asked for a ticket check, maybe once every 3/4 games at the top of the stairs and once ever at the base of the stairs, centre blocks.

Now that's interesting, it must be me and my niece that look like we must be hiding something in our bras because we have been frisked several times at the Ricoh, always by female stewards. I have no problem be frisked at football matches, arena events, concerts, airports basically anywhere my family and my safety could be compromised.

different story in block 16, constantly asked for ticket.
In the last season we were there stewards started standing in the ailses and blocking peoples view, they were a joke.
